How To Get Away With Murder Season 4 Episodes 1-6 Reviews: Stay Strong Mama

At the end of season 3, we learned that Wes was killed and Annalises's house burned down. The other shocker was that Laurel was preggo.

In season 4 Annalise tries to rebuild her life. It's not going to be easy. Annalise is an alcoholic who has spent time in jail. She's lost her job at the law school. She narrowly escapes losing her license. And I've lost count of how many murders she's been involved with.

Annalise releases the Keating Five (errr, now Four) from their internships. She writes each a letter of recommendation. How are these people still in law school? In a surprise move, Annalise also lets Bonnie go. This wont end well since Bonnie is cray cray.

Next Annalise heads to Memphis. Her mother Ophelia (the WONDERFUL Cecily Tyson) has Alzheimers. Annalise wants to put her a home. Her mother, not so much. Annalise plans to use the insurance from the house. Sam's sister Hannah is contesting ownership. Things are never easy for Annalise.

There appears to be no big murder mystery to solve this season. The time jump is three months in the future. Laurel screams that her baby is missing. Apparently enough time has passed for her to give birth. In other flash forwards we see: blood at the law firm where Michaela works. Oliver is involved. We see Annalise in the shower while blood rushes down the drain. And Asher ends up in jail at some point.

Here's the basic happenings with each person since the premiere:

Annalise- Annalise begins seeing a therapist-- Dr Issac Roa. Issac has a lot of baggage himself. He has lost a daughter. What else is he up to? I'm not sure he can be trusted.

Laurel- Laurel previously told her father she was preggo and that Frank was the father. She also lied to him and said she had an abortion. None of this is true. She is still with child and doesnt know if Frank or Wes is the father. Laurel believes her father (Jorge) had Wes killed. That dude is way shady.

Connor- Oliver proposes to Connor. Connor wants to wait. He contemplates dropping out of law school but eventualy starts working with Annalise again. Meanwhile Oliver is undercover helping Laurel and Michaela.

Michaela- Michaela is working with Laurel to get to the bottom of Wes' death. She gets a job at the Caplan and Gold agency (which represents Jorge). She learns that his company Antares is going public. Lauren is about to be a very rich woman (but she wants none of it). I dont believe that Michaela's boss Tegan is so dense. I think she knows fully aware that she is leaking info to Michaela. That woman didnt get where she is by being stupid.

Asher- Asher grows suspicious of what his girlfriend is doing. She says she's working late. She is actually plotting with Laurel. Asher takes his stuff and moves out. He feels dejected by Michaela. Let's hope he doesnt run back into Bonnie's arms.

Frank- Frank is trying to get into law school and took the LSAT. Frank tells Laurel he would be a great father to her baby.

Bonnie- Bonnie gets a job with crooked DA Denver. She begins seeing the same therapist as Annalise. Bonnie says her name is Julie.She says she broke up with her girlfriend Mae (which is Annalise). What is Crazy Bonnie up to? We also see flashbacks of when Bonnie and Annalise met. Bonnie had rape charges against a man that Annalise represented. Annalise got the charges dropped. One that is for certain. Bonnie has had a rough life.
