"In The Dark" Season 4: What Did You Think Of The Controversial Series Finale?

I've been with "In The Dark" since it's beginning on CW back in 2019. Check out my previous reviews here The first two seasons were great. But the show lost it's way starting in season 3. How many times must Murphy and crew run from the bad guys and/or the police?

Murphy is an interesting character study. she was never meant to be a likeable character. She's a narcassistic alcoholic that uses everyone around her. Perry Mattfield does an excellent job of portraying Murphy's messiness.

As we enter season 4 Murphy is in prison. I imagine that would be super rough for a visually impaired person. I thought maybe she would have a "come to Jesus" moment and change her ways... but nope. Felix vows to get her out (with the help of his lawyer sister). Josh is still obsessed with taking down Murphy. Get a life dude.

So what did you think of the finale? I'm not sure Murphy's behavior in the end was out of character or not. I also dont buy that Felix continues to stay by her side after all the crazy things she has done. He should run screaming away like Jess. The series definitely needed to conclude though. Apparently the show shot two endings (one a cliffhanger in case they were renewed and one if it was indeed the series finale).

Grade: 4 Monsters (out of 5). I loved the first two seasons of "In The Dark". The last two were pretty "meh" though. It was same old, same old. Murphy and crew getting mixed up in something illegal and then both the police and the bad guys are after them. This is definitely the end of the series though. CW axed it along with a number of other popular shows such as: "Legends Of Tomorrow", "Batwomen","Riverdale", etc.
