Legends Of Tomorrow Season 4 MidSeason Review: I'm Still Loving This Whacky Show!

After eight episodes the "Legends Of Tomorrow" are off for it's winter hiatus. They will return in April. "LoT" continues to deliver this year with zany story lines and snarky dialogue. I personally dont care if any of the stories make sense as long as they're fun.

Thus far this season we've seen:

  • Murderous unicorns at Woodstock
  • Evil fairy godmothers
  • The Queen of England mooning people
  • Summer campers- a young Sara and Ava are super cute
  • A Godzilla spoof complete with giant octopus
  • A new character addition with Mona (who has eyes for the hairy werewolf looking Kaupe and not Gary)
  • A minotaur
  • Puppets (including a serial killer one)
  • Mick gets a girlfriend in Garima- Beer!
  • Sara, Ava and Gideon in fabulous leather outfits- great job with the hair tossing and fancy pageant walking
  • Ray has a thing for Nora Darhk and grows a mustache to try to impress her
  • Nate's father Hank Heywood is around to put a damper on everything

"Legends Of To Meow-Meow" has Constantine trying to save his love Desmond Leveau (whose soul has been possessed by the demon Neron). Constantine, Charlie and Zari try to fix time with disastrous consequences. In the first try, we meet the Custodians Of Chronology. The guys (Ray, Nate, Mick) delight in killing magical creatures instead of taking them back to the Time Bureau. Also Sara has suffered death by unicorn impalement. Zari is turned into a cat for some reason. Next we have the ladies (Sara, Ava, Gideon) as the Sirens Of Space Time. Fabulous leather outfits! They too want to kill all the magical creatures in sight because the fairy godmother wiped out the men.

Next up are the "Puppets Of Tomorrow". Yep, you guessed it-- all puppets. Too funny! And this time Mick has run off with the fairy godmother so they can rob banks together.

We eventually go back to where we started-- New Orleans 2018. Constantine must send Des to Hell (since no matter how many times he tries everything gets screwed up). Charlie decides to stay with the Legends after all-- since she is the only reason they're probably not killing every magical creature they encounter. Plus she's part of the family now.

And in the final scene Hank is golfing with... wait for it... some strange creature that has Des's face. Is that Neron? If so, what is the plan for Project Hades? I guess we'll have to wait a while to find out.

Grade: 4 Monsters (out of 5). "Legends Of Tomorrow" continues to be a hoot with it's crazy story lines and delightfully whacky characters. I also love the way they referenced the DC crossover with "Green Arrow", "Flash" and "Supergirl" (which "Lot" was not a part of this year). Fine with me. I like my "Legends" on their own and not bogged down by "real" superheros. We'll see ya back here in April for more "Legends' fun.
