The Perfection Review: Holy S$*t! I Didn't See That Coming... Or That... Or That.

"The Perfection" was just released on NetFlix. It's written/directed by Richard Shepard and stars Allison Williams ("Girls" and "Get Out"), Logan Browning ("Dear White People") and TV veteran Steven Weber.

Charlotte Wilimore was once a cello prodigy at the prestigious Bachoff Academy but was forced to leave due to her mother's illness.  Anton and his wife Paloma are wealthy benefactors of the arts. He's also headmaster at the school. Ten years later, Charlotte's mother passes away. She travels to Shanghai to help with the selection of the school's newest student. There she meets Lizzie (who became the number one cellist after Charlotte's departure). The two are great admirers of each other and quickly hit it off.

And I cant give much more away without ruining it.. Just watch "The Perfection". If you like thrillers and/or horror, you wont be disappointed.

Grade: 5 Monsters (out of 5). Loved it! Allison Williams and Logan Browning are excellent in their roles. I dont want to give any more of the plot away. It is best to go into the movie cold turkey. Don't even watch the trailer if you help it. "The Perfection" is full of surprises. I first thought the movie was about one thing, then it became something else, and then it became something entirely different. Is it completely over the top? Yes, but that's part of the fun. Just dont assume you know what's going on until the very end.
