Agents Of SHIELD Season 3 Episodes 8-10 Reviews: Blue Planet Or Bust

The final three episodes of "Agents Of SHIELD" (the show is currently on break) were chock full of reveals. Here's the highlights:

It turns out the ATCU is making as many inhumans as possible. Coulson confronts Price about it but she doesnt know anything. The program was run by Malick. Malick later teams up with Ward. He will help Ward take down SHIELD and kill Coulson. In return Ward must help retrieve the inhuman that was sent through the portal to the blue planet many centuries ago. Hydra was founded to bring him back so he could take over Earth. ...Cue suspenseful music...

Coulson and Rosalind sit down to a nice romantic dinner. Unfortunately Price is shot and dies in Coulson's arms. Bummer. I liked those two together. The sniper turns out to be...wait for it... Ward. Oh, now its ON!

Mack is made SHIELD director because Coulson is hell bent on revenge. Fitz and Simmons are kidnapped by Malick. The portal is opened. Ward, Fitz and Coulson enter it and are transported to the blue planet.

SHIELD attacks Malick's hideout. Simmons manages to free herself. In order to create a diversion, she released Lash (who ends up killing many of the inhumans). Back on the faraway planet, Fitz finds Will Daniels. They eventually escape Ward but then Daniels attacks Fitz. Say what? It turns out the ancient inhuman killed Daniels right after Simmons escaped and used his body as a host. Fitz toasts the creature with a flare. That was a cool scene. Next, its time for Ward and Coulson to battle it out. Coulson kills Ward by crushing him with his bionic arm. Good! It's about time that loser got what he deserved.

Coulson and Fitz return to Earth. Simmons tearfully hugs Fitz. His mission to bring back Will was a failure. Simmons has seriously been a standout this season. Fitz isn't half bad either. Daisy/Skye and Lincoln kiss. I hesitate to even mention it (since they have zero chemistry together IMHO). And just when we think it's over, Malick encounters a very dead looking Ward. The big bad inhuman made it back to earth in Grant's body. Well, that can't be good.

Grade: 4 Monsters (out of 5). The pace of these episodes was quick (just the way I like it). I enjoyed learning more about the blue planet. Rosalind's death was an emotional scene. Poor Coulson is doomed to be unlucky in love. "Agents of SHIELD" will return on March 8.
