Wayward Pines Season 2 Episodes 2-3 Reviews: Hi Nurse Pam; Oops Nevermind

Thoughts on the new season of "Wayward Pines? So far I'm not feeling the love. The mystery is gone. Most of the fun last year was trying to figure out this strange place and it's even stranger inhabitants. My favorite characters are all dead. I dont really like the remaining inhabitants (except Arlene). She's great!

In "Blood Harvest" the abbies are building an (un)human pyramid in order to scale the town's perimeter. The kids go outside to fight them off. Kerry is attacked and will surely die without medical intervention. Problem is the only doctor was thrown out of Wayward Pines last week. Theo is rescued and saves Kerry's life (but AFTER he forces Jason to tell him the truth). Not that Yedlin believes it's the year 4032 anyway.

The soil inside Wayward Pines is contaminated so nothing will grow. A team heads out to harvest the food growing beyond the wall. Poor Ben keeps trying to get back into town. He keeps screaming he's "first generation" but no one will listen. His mom also tries to help but to no avail. We see him attacked by abbies. I fear we've seen the end of Ben.

In "Once Upon A Time In Wayward Pines" Nurse Pam returns. Yeah! She was one of the best parts of season 1. She has been exiled for killing her brother David. Pam tells the audience the story of Jason (who was the first live birth in town). Pam plans to end this experiment but infecting everyone with smallpox. Sorry, not sure I'm buying that motive. When that plan misfires, Jason takes her into the woods and strangles her. Noooo! #PamDeservedBetter

We also see a flashback of Theo and Rebecca. Does Rebecca know much more about Wayward Pines"than she's revealing?

Meanwhile Megan is busy telling the kiddies how to get it on. She's such a weirdo.

Grade: 3 Monsters (out of 5). I'm just not feeling the love this season. All my favorite characters are gone (RIP Nurse Pam). I'm thinking this show should have gone out with a bang at the end of season 1. Continuing on cheapens what was previously an excellent show. Am I off base? Please leave your thoughts in the comments below.
