Doomsday Bunkers Canceled, Armageddon Arsenals Premieres

For those of you, who were like me, were searching everywhere for other episodes of Doomsday Bunkers, Discovery canceled it after just three episodes. Have no fear though,  Armageddon Arsenals premiered on Discovery’s Destination America network on December 13. It airs at 10 PM ET. Only one episode has aired to date and I don't see any reruns. There is lots of bacon cooking' and log cabin buildin' on that channel though. We'll see how many episodes they have planned.

Doomsday Bunkers only 3 episodes

  1. Time to let the cat out of the bag. If you are one of those who spent tens of thousands building or buying your survival bunker, bad news, chances are it has already been compromised. Does not matter if the company brought in it's own crews to do everything from digging the hole to installing the toilet. If a permit was pulled your bunker is now on my list, if your bunker was worked on by locals any where from Georgia to Main, the Carolinas to Washington state more than likely it's on my list,a list shared by several hundred folk just like me. Folk who can not afford the cost of these survival shelters. Shelters built in the hills and hollows we grew up in.
Working as a heavy equipment operator is how I first came in contact with these doomsday preppers. To say that they treated me and my fellow workers as if we were ignorant hicks would be an understatement. Had one group that would blind fold us on the way to the site, as if we would not recognize the area we were in. Hired a outside company to haul the equipment in and out.
The final straw came when certain people started booby trapping their bunkers. As I said I grew up roaming the hills and hollows playing in the woods exploring the countryside. My children grew up doing the same thing and now my grandchildren are out their learning ever nook and cranny. As long as you weren't tearing up things nobody really cared about trespassing. These new folk do, and God have mercy on them if one of my grand kids or a neighbors child ever fall victim to one of these booby traps.
That is why I joined a group of bunker hunters, we find and share the location of bunkers and food caches all across the nation. Right now I have the location and specifications of well over 300 bunkers, with more being added everyday. There are 7 of them within 30 miles of my home, one is located just over a mile away. The owners of that particular bunker live over 300 miles away. They were showcased on that prepper show, when their generator was stolen they should have realized that bunker was compromised and was now useless. What they were thinking when they built it so far away I haven't a clue. They must cross my property to reach their bunker and there is an easement in place that provides access but it is an easement that I will revoke by destroying a small bridge they must cross if it becomes necessary.
They could have been upfront with me, and worked with me then I would have been glad to help protect their investment. Instead they treated me, my family, and neighbors like we were vermin. Instead of having allies in the area they created a whole new group of enemies.
Come the zombie apocalypse you will find me and my family along with hundreds of like minded folk, firmly in control of your bunker and food supply. You will not find us waiting with open arms, our arms will be "locked and loaded".

  2. I'm glad you posted this. I agree with you 100%. I have often discussed with my father that whoever did the work, dug the hole, and whoever lives nearby knows exactly where your buried bunker is. I wont' say "eat the rich" but if they treated ya badly I will say "eat their stuff". When ya bury your bunker and then go back to your house 300 miles away, what do ya thinks going to happen to it. I just hope none of your children/grandchildren accidentally stumble upon those booby-traps.

  3. I should probably preface this by saying I am not a bunker owner, nor could i afford one. I am living check to check and have no vested interest personally in protecting bunkers or "preppers" interest. I am just a guy who believes that when you work hard to earn money and spend it on what you want, No one has the right to steal it. That being said ...Wow!!! I cannot believe what a hypocrite this "anon" guy above is. "god help them if his grandkids get hurt" ....committing a B & E on someone else's property. Property they purchased to protect their own family. But you are totally willing to hurt someone elses children and steal their property to protect your own. These people that did nothing wrong but make a plan for themselves that didn't involve theft and murder. YOU MAKE ME SICK! And as far as bunker owners being the "elite wealthy" if you had actually watched the show I don't think the woman who was a retired NYC police officer trying to protect her grandkids from natural and manmade disaster quite qualifies as "elite" Teach your kids that stealing and breaking and entering is WRONG and then maybe you won't have a problem. oh yea and instead of amassing a list of property to plunder maybe get off your lazy ass and build your own shelter. You realize you are the looter that these people are building these things to avoid. You are the kind of person that will make this world unsafe for the survivors of a great disaster. They are investing in resources for their own health and safety while you are dreaming up ways to steal it. What gives you the right? I hope you get mugged soon and when you do, don't complain to the police or society. They probably just had less than you, and based on your morality are perfectly justified. In fact I hope someone loots your house and takes everything, since you think that sort of behavior is ok (quality parenting by the way, maybe social services should take your kids/grandkids too. Since you obviously are training them to be dishonest amoral criminals) God help any children you have a hand in raising. They will have one hell of a twisted sense of morality. It's bad enough you think that way but you really want to make your progeny as morally corrupt as yourself?! One can only hope that when you get to the bunker you intend to steal, the OWNER is there "locked and loaded", and rids the world of another scum sucking JEALOUS leech. Bottom line, if you spent that energy worrying about your own families future instead of how to steal from others, maybe you could build your own shelter, you complete waste of skin!!
