SuperGirl Season 3 Episode 13 Review: Both Sides Now

"SuperGirl" is currently on hiatus as "Legends Of Tomorrow" takes over it's time slot. The show returns on April 9.

So what's happened in season 3 thus far? Mon-El is back but this time he has a wife (Irma). He confesses his love of Kara to J'Onn. Like, who didn't see that coming? Meanwhile Irma and Brainy have hatched some plan of their own.

Lena purchases CatCo in order to keep it away from Morgan Edge. Speaking of Lena, she and James and now an item. I'm not particularly thrilled about the pairing. Lena has Samantha run L-Corp (while she's over at CatCo). But more on her later.

Alex and Maggie break up over one wanting children and the other not. It's actually because Floriana Lima was moving on to other projects. I was sorry to see her go but those heartbreaking scenes made for some good dramatic TV.

Alex runs medical tests help Samantha figure out what is wrong with her. Alex has been a little cray cray since the breakup so it's good to have something to keep her occupied. J'Onn pays a visit to M'Gann on Mars. She later returns with him to Earth.

The list of metahumans this season includes: Braniac 5, Psi, Livewire, Saturn Girl and the Kryphtonian WorldKillers-- Reign (Sam), Purity (Julia) and Pestilence (coming soon). We're still not sure exactly what they want. SuperGirl thinks she can appear to their good/human sites but Alex is not so sure.

Samantha is still not aware of her Reign alter ego. Lena seems to be the closest to finding out the truth. They scenes with Sam and daughter Ruby have been some of the best this season.

Grade: 4 Monsters (out of 5). I have at times been frustrated by the pace of "SuperGirl" but still love the show. I'm hoping the WorldKillers story line will provide a strong close to the season. Odette Annabelle and Krys Marshall are doing an excellent job portraying Sam/Reign and Julia/Purity.
