Bobby & Jury In Better Times

Just catching up on "Sons Of Anarchy". I continue to have a love/hate relationship with this show. There are definitely some great parts. My favorite is the Gemma/Jax dynamic.The show is aptly referred to as "Hamlet on Wheels". This is the first time we've gotten an indepth look at a motorcycle gang (although be it fictional). And of course brutality and backstabbing goes with the business. But sometimes I'm like "what the hell"? I know ya have to fill up 13 episodes this season but could we have a little less filler and a little more story? What was up with that Jewish pimp? And despite the slow pace, most of the episodes are way too long. If ya cant say it in a hour max, it doesnt need to be said.

I also cant decide how I feel about the characters. The only person I really like is Nero. And of course I love to hate Gemma. I am frustrated by the poor decision making skills of everyone. Yes I know we wouldnt have a show without such drama but it just drives me crazy. Jax could have taken the club legit. He could have avoided killing Clay. Gemma could have gotten her facts straight before forking Tara in the back of the head. Tara could have taken the boys and got the hell out of Charming. Unser could have left in his RV and spent his remaining days in peace before succumbing to cancer. But no one chose those options. As Yoda says "do or do not, there is no try".

I Thought Juice Was About To Get Juiced

Juice has spent most of this season hiding from the club. He was assisted by Gemma (until she tried to kill him) and Unser (some of the time). Juice goes to the Mayans and says he'll give them intel on SOA in exchange for a ticket out of the country. But he's ratted out. I thought Jax would kill Juice. Instead Jax sends him on what looks like a suicide mission. He shoots up a bunch of cop motorcycles. He's then taking to prison. Ahhh, now I see. Its all a setup to get to Lin in prison and kill him.

Gemma's Days Are Numbered

Gemma knows Jax will eventually find out she killed Tara. She thinks she's a goner when she's sent to the cabin but it was just a fake out. Chibs and Lady Sheriff Althea have a love connection. Tig and Venus appear to hook up. Gemma chats up Lea Michele at a diner and gets in a fight with Courtney Love. That woman gets around.

Just Here To Chat With My Good Friend Marilyn

Jax stops by the prison from time to time to chat with Marilyn Manson. Nero tells Gemma he wants to buy a farm. She and the boys can join him. Gemma says she'll think about it.

Lin and Jax continue to battle it out. Jax killed one of his lieutenants with an ice pick to the head. Lin attacks the bar (killing Colette and the other girls). SOA messes up Lin's massage parlor and so on and so forth.

Bobby is run off the road by August's crew. Moses (the head of Mark's security team) takes Bobby's eyeball to the club. Next he loses some fingers on his "clutch hand". But Bobby never talks.

Jax believes Jury is the one who ratted them out to Lin (in retaliation for SAMCRO killing his son). Jury refuses to confess but has a few choice works for Jax. His father committed suicide rather than deal with what the club had become. Jax's father would be ashamed of the poison he has become. And for his honesty, Jury gets a bullet to the head. So who's the rat if Jury isnt? Maybe it's Barosky? Maybe it's Tig? Maybe it's Wendy? How bout Nero?

Nero Asks Gemma To Leave Town With Him

Abel is a budding psychopath (but with a family like the Tellers he doesnt have a chance). Who put the dead birds in Gemma's bed? I dont think it was Mark's crew. They already have Bobby. They dont need to go around killing birds. I also dont think it was Abel (since I dont think he's capable of writing that message on the wall). I think it was Nero since he wants Gemma and the boys to leave with him. Also when Nero entered the room he didnt look at the bed... because he already knew. He watched Gemma and Wendy to gauge their reactions.

Will Anyone Be Left Standing?

So who will die in the end? Place your bets now:

Jax- either Jax and/or Gemma should be dead by the end of the series.
Gemma- I'm going with Jax has someone kill her (so he doesnt have to do it himself).
Nero- my bet is Nero survives and leaves town with Wendy and the boys.
Wendy- shacks up with Nero.
Unser- dies of cancer...finally.
Bobby- survives minus one eye and some fingers. Stays with SAMCRO.
Chibs- remains in SAMCRO and becomes president.
Tig- is the person that actually ratted out SAMCRO. All will be revealed in the end.
Happy- stays.
Anthea- either quits the police force or is killed. She's not a very good cop anyway.
Ratboy- stays.
Juice- survives even though it looks like he's about to be offed all the time.
