No One Will Notice Us in 1848 Even Though Our Teeth Are Perfect (And They Have None)
This episode is called "Poe Way Out" because we find out that in a past life Killian was... wait for it... Edgar Allen Poe. Very interesting twist there "WoEE". I like it. You may be taking a page from "Sleepy Hollow" where everyone in colonial America knew Ichadbod Crane. But I digress. .
Last week Joanna, Wendy and Freya went back in time to retrieve something to help in their fight against Daddy/Granddaddy Odin. Ingrid and Freddie stayed behind.
The ladies apparently ran a brothel back in 1848. Freya was a bartender. Is that the poor girl's job in every lifetime? Joanna also had little opium habit. Did Victor leave her? We next learn that Joanna had to kill Freya in this lifetime. Talk about awkward!

Who Knew They Could Make Poe Sexy?
Well Freya and Killian (I mean Poe) have a thing (like they do in every life). All his stories are about the Beauchamps. He needs a little additional inspiration so Freya suggests a seance. And like most seances, it doesnt end well. A demon named "Ambrose Bancroft" takes possession of Freya and thinks everyone is some "Rose" woman. She starts terrorizing the locals and snaps Wendy's neck. OK ya freaking demon, when you mess with Aunt Wendy The Cat, IT IS SO ON!!!

I Dont LIke Your Bonnet Therefore You Must Die
Meanwhile back in East End, Dash is busy pulling all the teeth out of the floater Kyle. That was cringe inducing. Why go to all that trouble? You have magic and apparently arent afraid to use it at other times. Dash is also visited by Raven again. She's either a sex addict or up to something (or both). She's also not a very good snooper.
We find out Ingrid is nobody's fool. She is hip to all Odin's lies. She goes to Dash so they can devise a plan to get rid of Granddaddy. Speaking of Odin, he's out getting a beating heart for some spell. I'm afraid to think what that does. Tarkoff is back too and he's on some mission.
And back in New York (or somewhere) Killian learns from Eva's relatives that there's a spell so he and Freya can break the cycle of being star crossed lovers. The only catch is he has to die in this life. He drinks it so I assume he'll be dead as part of the season cliff hanger.
Back in the 19th century, Joanna uses a magical box to separate the demon from Freya (but it kills her in the process). And if Freya dies, Ingrid dies too. Right after this occurs, CurrentJoanna appears and tells PastJoanna that she needs the aforementioned magical box. Joanna says she always remembered that night but didnt know until now what it meant. This time travel stuff makes my brain hurt. She saw herself in the past, so knew in the present to go back into the past where she saw herself. Uhhhh I need to lay down.

Grade: 4 1/2 Monsters (out of 5). A super fun episode. I'm a sucker for time travel stories. I secretly like the idea of the Beauchamp ladies running a brothel. And dont forget the two hour season 2 finale is next week
