The Walking Dead Season 5 Epi 15 Review: Good Neighbors Turn Bad

This week's episode "Try" sets the stage for the 90 minute finale. I still havent recovered from Noah's death by revolving door. And even though Aiden was a loser, being disemboweled by zombies while still alive is a bad way to go.

Who Invited These People? Oh Yeah, It Was Me.

The once friendly members of Alexandria are now turning on each other. Father Gabriel previously told Deanne that Team Rick was evil. Nicholas lies to Deanna about what really happened during the supply run. Rick confronts Deanna about Pete. It turns out she already knows about the abuse-- but he's a surgeon so the town needs him. Rick doesnt agree. He confronts Pete. They have a knock-down-drag-out which spills into the street. Rick goes on a rant. Mich finally knocks him out to shut him up.

Hey Remember When We Had Our First Date And Had To Run From a Swarm Of Zombies? Good Times.

In other news, Daryl rides around on his motorcycle. He and Aaron find evidence that someone is nearby. Is it the Wolves or Morgan or some new person/group? Carl and Enid hang out in the woods. When zombies approach they snuggle together in a hollowed out tree. Oh young love in the zombie apocalypse. How sweet!  Michonne and Rosita search for Sasha (who is still having a breakdown). Carol bakes a casserole for Deanna's family but Deanna's having none of that. Glenn is still trying to keep the peace but warns Nicholas not to go on any more runs.

Any predictions for next week? Larger numbers of zombies are coming through the area. Sasha apparently doesnt feel the need to report this. My guess is they're ahead of a horde that will attack next week. And when will we actually meet the wolves? We saw yet more examples of their handiwork (girl tied to a tree, zombies with "w" on their heads, zombies chopped into pieces, etc.)

Favorite Quotes:
  • "If you keep the windows intact, you keep society intact."- Rick. Uh oh, we have a problem.

Grade: 4 Monsters (out of 5). The stage is set. Better enjoy your new home while ya can. I suspect Team Rick will be back on the road again soon.
