Once Upon A Time Episode 7 Recap: Child of the Full Moon

By "child of the moon" they of course are referring to Red Riding Hood (and not members of the Unification Church or Moonies). This is a Red-centric story so it covers Red's and Snow's back story in Fairytale Land and we meet Red's wolfie mother. This episode also follows a murder in present day Storybrooke (some mouse died) which may or may not have been committed by Red (but we all know she didn't do it).

Highlights-- Red killed her mother to protect Snow. Call me crazy but that seems quite a bit to ask of a person/wolf-- killing your mom for some chick you're running around with in the woods. Granny protected Red from the mob with her crossbow. Way to go Granny! Henry had more nightmares of fire and Rumple (he who should not be trusted) gave him something to protect him.

Pet peeves-- that CGI wolf was lame. Couldn't they find a real wolf for Red to turn into? Even a "wolf looking" dog would have worked. When Red changed back into her human form after Charming put the cape on her, she should have been naked (ie not wearing clothes). I know it's ABC but shoot her from the head up. That's just not realistic (I know, like the rest of the show is). But was the wolf wearing leather pants and eyeliner...no it was not!

I'm ready for Emma and Snow to come back. And we need more EQ. It doesn't matter what she's doing. She could be sweeping the floor in the background. She should be in at least 75% of all shows. That's why I watch this show! Let Emma, Snow, Arial come back thru Henry's dreams. Let Cora sneak thru too so there can be a showdown. Black Swan Mother vs Swan Queen. PS I'm afraid of Barbara Hershey.
