Lost Girl Episode 13 Recap: Those Who Wonder About The Wanderer (Season Finale)

And what a season finale it was. There was LOTS going on in this episode. To recap:
  • Lauren is really Karen. She's working for Taft. He is of course crazy. I had a rough childhood so now I want to be Fae. Boo hoo get in line ya freak. Actually a Wendigo ate his brother so that is sad but no reason to kill everyone else.
  • Taft wants Lauren to take Dyson's DNA (thus killing him) and make Taft a wolf/human hybrid. Taft, you won't be happy. You'll have to shave a lot more. And you'll have the overwhelming urge to pee on every tree and rock within a 5 mile radius.
  • Tamsin was hurt at the end of the last episode. Bo tries to give her some chi but its not working. Why take her to the Kitsune (fox fae) sorority? Turns out one has been premed for 20 years so can operate. They tell Bo Tamsin is at the end of her Valkyrie life cycle. That's why her hair is falling out and she's so weak. They also give Tamsin a makeover while she's out cold. Those sorority sisters crack me up.
  • Bruce's big arms are unnaturally freakish. Don't tell me that man isn't taking steroids. And his bulbous appendages make his head look teeny tiny. Ok Bruce has grown on me. Please make him a season regular.
  • The Druid Massimo needs to have his butt kicked just cause I don't like him. You can never trust a Druid.
  • A Cabbit is a cross between a cabbage and a rabbit. Just kidding. It's a cross between a cat and a rabbit.
  • Aife (Bo's mother) is locked up by Taft too. She jumps in front of Bo as he tries to stab her. We think she is going to die but she sucks the chi out of the Cabbit. We don't know where she went after that. The Cabbit better not be dead though. She has 38 children for Gods sake!!!
  • Epic girl fight! Tamsin turns on Bo. She has to take her to the wanderer. Bo and Tamsin throw each other around the room for a while. Then Tamsin lets her hair down and gets all emotional. It looks like they'll kiss but don't. Curses!!! More fighting or kissing or kiss-fighting please.
  • Lauren is indeed a genius. Instead of using Dyson's DNA, she splices Taft with the cabbit's. Dyson has some nice tasty Hasenpfeffer for dinner. We don't see Lauren again after that. Did y'all forget to save Lauren?
  • Hale rescues Trick and sends him to Scottland with Stella. He still loves him some Kenzi. He had previously given her a magical twig to protect her.
  • The Morrigan continues to wreak havoc. Vex gets the best of her though. Yeah Vex!
  • Tamsin and Dyson are driving somewhere. The Wanderer appears in the road. She tries to run him down but crashes instead. We see smoke wafting out of the overturned truck.
  • The last scene shows Bo being enveloped by a smoke monster (oops wrong show). Bo is enveloped by some smoke that was no doubt sent by the wanderer. Seriously this is a lot of work just to meet your daughter. How bout ya call her, text her, email her, tweet her, post on her Facebook page, etc... The possibilities are endless.
Favorite quotes:
  • "Are you really a Cabbit" asks Lauren. "Yes" says the Cabbit. "Hence the 38 children."
  • "Juice me"- Tamsin to Bo.
  • "If your father was here he would kill them all and then resurrect them and then kill them again."- Aife about Bo's father. That's a new twist on wait till your father gets home.

Episode 13 "Those Who Wander"
Kenzi is held by the Morrigan but escapes with Bruce, the henchman, and goes in search of the Druid to become Fae so that she can help Bo. Dr. Isaac Taft is going to use Dyson’s stem cells to turn himself into Wolf Fae and Lauren agrees to perform the transplant if he lets Bo go. Bo is put in a cell with Tamsin where she sees Aife who gives hints about Bo's father. Bo and Tamsin subdue Taft's guards and free the imprisoned Faes. Lauren is seen thrusting a large syringe into Dyson with Taft lying on an operating table nearby. Lauren is not seen again. Aife jumps in front of Bo to protect her and is stabbed by Taft. Bo is forced to leave her behind with the Cabbit that Lauren had been locked in a cell with. Taft runs into the woods, Dyson catches up with him and tells him Lauren had not injected his stem cells into him but had instead made him a human/cabbit hybrid; revealing Lauren had sabotaged Taft by covertly injecting him with stem cells from the Cabbit Fae. Dyson shapeshifts into wolf, kills and eats Taft. Hale rescues Trick and he leaves with Stella for Scotland as Vex takes out the Morrigan for Hale. Bo and Tamsin battle when the spell of the potion in the Rune Glass doesn't work as Tamsin expected, but Tamsin ends by siding with Bo. Bo leaves for the Dal and Tamsin goes to get Dyson and when she tries to drive her truck into the Wanderer when he appears in the middle of the road, they are each engulfed by smoke before the truck flies over the edge. Bo is at the tavern, the Wanderer card falls from above, explosions happen, she is slowly consumed by smoke, and the Wanderer – possibly her father – spirits her away to a place unknown. The card now has two figures on it: the Wanderer and Bo.

Grade: 4 1/2 Monsters (out of 5). Must find out when season 4 starts. Must pace myself or I'm not going to last that long.
