When we last saw our campers, Carolina (aka Joyce) had just revealed that she was a mole planted by the producers, Daniel and Irene were headed for a potential love connection, Annie and Natalie were getting cozy and everyone was baffled by the Northern Lights.
This week, we find Sabina with a secret stash of food and ammo in a cave. And on a related note, what are these people eating? Sam and Natalie are fishing but don't seem that successful. I thought there wasnt much food left after Joyce burned down the shed. No one seems to be losing any weight (ie check out Sam). If they were really starving they'd look like the folks over on "Naked and Afraid".
Natalie apparently left during the night without saying goodbye to anyone (especially Annie). I'm not buying that. Something else has happened.. But I don't know what.
Joyce says she's ready to quit the show but really was injured before when she and Johnny blacked out. She wants the film footage but the cameraman says the camera (and the cameraman operating it) are missing. No one seems too bothered by this. WE know that the camera is in Sabina's lair though. Why didn't she watch it when she found the camera?
Irene is badly injured by some medieval looking device while she is out hunting. Miljan carves that weird symbol he saw in the book in his arm. Can't ya just draw it on with a pen? Did Miljan know what was going to happen to Irene? He should definitely not be trusted.
Sabina sees a blond Scandinavian looking girl in the woods but she disappears. What's up with her? I don't think she's a ghost. Sabina then finds a skeleton that has the exact same necklace with the exact same picture that she has. Oh no, it's getting really creepy... And really good.
Esther volunteers to hit the emergency button and forfeit the game in order to get help for Irene (who refuses to quit). Why do any of you believe her?? I said last week that she's a low down dirty snake. She tricked Irene, Daniel, Sam Johnny and Joyce into crossing the line. There is no helicopter and no emergency button. Sam and Johnny then attack the two cameramen (who say they know nothing).
Johnny, Joyce and Daniel take out for base camp but it is destroyed. Sam stayed back with the injured Irene (who I might add is holding up pretty well for having a spike through her leg). That leaves five people (The Snake Esther, Neeko, Sabiina, Miljan, and Annie) still "officially" in the game.
There are 10 episodes total (so we're halfway through). The season finale airs on September 2.
Grade: 4 1/2 Monsters (out of 5). This was my favorite episode to date. Lots of suspense, drama, and scheming. PS Something REALLY bad should happen to Esther.
