This Isnt Going To End Well
I'm still here "Stalker" so you must be growing on me. Is anyone else watching this? Please let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
In "Fanatic" (episode 7) a TV star on a fictitious show called "Savage Shore" is being stalked. Nina has also had a number of stalkers previously. First we think it might be a woman (Heather Miller) but she's a red herring. Not that she wouldnt stalk Nina again in a heartbeat. She just didnt do it this time. And its not the paparazzi guy (Edward)-- although Nina's sister Emily is feeding him intel. She wants to make extra money so she can get out from under her sister's shadow. When Nina finds out, she kicks Emily out of the house. Emily is then promptly attacked by the real baddy (Robbie).

We think it's case closed but wait... there's a twist. The mentally ill stalker (who is off his meds) swears he has a "relationship" with Nina and that they email regularly. It turns out the man's mother has been pretending to be Nina since poor sonny was so lonely. Mommy (who is as crazy if not more so than Junior) decides to kill Nina since she spurned her son. There 's a pretty good chase scene. Finally Mother is captured. Nina and her sister are reunited and they live happily ever after (or until the next stalker arrives).
On the personal front, Beth's stalker Perry steals Beth's personal info from her best friend Tracy's phone. Remember Tracy thinks his name is Brody. Perry then goes to Beth's house and rummages through her stuff. Beth also receives an article about the fire and calls the mental hospital but the patient (Beth's ex husband?) did not send it.
Episode 8 "Skin" has another interesting twist on the stalker theme. A former skinhead is now a quiet family man. He wife (Christina) is Hispanic and their child is biracial. We learn of Mark's past when he runs outside because there's a fire in the front yard. He has Nazi/white supremacist tattoos all over his body. He later gets a call from a former recruit. Chad is not happy with Mark's current lifestyle. Then a bomb almost kills Mark's son. We of course think it's Chad all along. It's not though. It's the next door neighbor (the Asian American guy we saw at the beginning of the episode).

And on the home front, Trent figures out Jack is Ethan's father. Trent and Amanda discuss it but they dont know Ethan is hiding behind the wall and hears everything. Beth also receives a white teddy bear. She pulls down an old charred one from her box in the closet. It's an exact match.

In "Crazy For You" (episode 9) a psychiatrist is a victim of stalking. He points the team to a woman named Claudia Burke. They find her trying to off herself in the garage. Next they're off to visit Shelly Walker. She's an alcoholic who wrote bad things about Dr Lewis on a website. But nope, it's another false alarm. It turns out the culprit is Shelly's husband. They rush back to the Doc's office before hubby can off Lewis. Case closed.

On the home front Beth thinks Tracy might be the info leak. She tails her to a bar and who is she snuggling up to but Perry. Beth then breaks into Perry's house and finds his disturbing artwork. Will we see a final confrontation between those two by the end of the season? I hope so.
There's A Whole Lotta Crazy Under That Sweater
Grade: 3 1/2 Monsters (out of 5). "Crazy For You" was not my most favorite episode but I especially enjoyed "Fanatic" and found "Skin" thought provoking. On a positive note, I continue to think that Janice has serious stalker potential. I cant wait for her to go bat shit crazy on someone. Will it be Jack?
