GMonster's 10 Most Intriguing TV Characters Of 2015 (The Men)

What is about a TV character that just reaches out and grabs ya? Obviously it's great acting and great writing but sometimes there's just a little something extra. Below is my list of the 10 most intriguing men on television in 2015. See last year's list here 2014 10 Most Intriguing Male Television Characters Agree? Disagree? Let me know in the comments below.

And without further adieu, here are my picks:

10. Increase Mather- Stephen Lang- Salem- WGNA- We thought Increase was a goner after the season 1 finale. But guess what? He's back bitches! Luckily the evil Increase has mellowed a little after death. It's great fun to watch Mary Sibley turn the tables on him.

9. Kevin Kilgrave- David Tennant- Jessica Jones- NetFlix- Yes Kevin is a villain. But good villains are what makes a great story. And how do you combat a baddy who acts like a three year old and can mentally control everyone he meets? See my reviews here: Jessica Jones Reviews

8. Glenn Rhee- Steven Yeun- The Walking Dead- AMC- Glenn is a member of the "TWD" core group. We met him back in Atlanta when he saved Rick's life. Glenn is low on drama and high on performing in a clutch. When he died (after little fanfare) the fans including myself were highly suspicious. Sure "The Walking Dead" has gotten rid of central characters before... but they usually give them a better send off. Luckily, our prayers were answered when we found Glenn had survived thanks to a nearby dumpster. "TWD", dont even think about trying to kill him off after that! See my reviews here: The Walking Dead Reviews

7. Victor/Louis Lewanski- Swann Namboti- The Returned- Sundance- Namboti gets the "creepy kid of the year" award and is the only child on my top 10 list. I wont ruin it for you but you owe it to yourself to watch both seasons of French series "The Returned". See my reviews here: The Returned Reviews

6. Murphy- Keith Allan- Z Nation- SyFy- Murphy is the only person to survive a zombie attack (thanks to an experimental medication that was given to unwilling prisoners). The team must rush him to a lab in California so a vaccine can be created. Along the way all sorts of hilarity ensues. He escapes from the team pretty much every week. Murphy develops special psychic powers and declares himself the zombie messiah. He also has a cute zombie baby named Lucy. See my reviews here: Z Nation Reviews

5. Obergruppenfuhrer John Smith- Rufus Sewell- The Man In The High Castle- NetFlix- While John is a Nazi, we're not entirely sure how much he believes the party line vs what he's doing to protect his family. He's still ruthless though. See his pushing a coworker off the roof and his turning s friend into the SS as examples. I'm hoping to see much more of John Smith next season. He's more compelling than the leads. Sorry Juliana and Joe. Frank, I still love ya though. See my reviews here: The Man In The High Castle Reviews

4. Thomas Eichorst- Richard Sammel- The Strain- FX Network- Eichorst continues to be one of the best things about "The Strain". While the show flounders with a slow plot line at times, Eichorst steals every scene. What's scarier than an ageless ex-Nazi vampire? His abduction and torture of Dutch was one of the most unsettling scenes of the season. See my reviews here: The Strain Reviews

3. Datak Tarr- Tony Curran- Defiance- SyFy- Despite "Defiance" being canceled, the patriarch of the Castithan Tarr family remains my number three pick. Datak and his wife Stahma are a volatile combination to those around them. Despite their numerous brawls, Datak still deeply loves his wife and will do whatever he has to to protect her. Yes, Datak is a untrustworthy murdering jerk but he's a survivor. And that's just what is needed in the town of Defiance. Datak is also one tough ass. Who else could cut off his arm and survive a bomb blast? It's all in a days work for Datak. See my reviews here: Defiance Reviews

2. Ragnar Lothbrok- Travis Fimmel- Vikings- History- The "History" channel is not known for its original programming, but this one hit it out of the park. Over three seasons, we've learned about the historical character of Ragnar and his family and friends. Travis portrays Ragnar as not just a bloodthirsty killer. Under that warrior exterior he's a sensitive guy who wants to see everything the world has to offer. Where will the gods take Ragnar next? See my review here: Vikings Reviews

1. Hannibal Lecter- Mads Mikkelsen- Hannibal- NBC- Despite the show being canceled, Hannibal remains my number one pick? Why? There was simply no one better than Hannibal on television in 2015. I was initially skeptical of a series based on the movie/movies. After all, who could do a better job playing Hannibal than Anthony Hopkins? I am happy to report that I was 100% wrong. Mads brings a whole new interpretation to the character. Younger than the original actor, he has a certain European charm. He's a Renaissance man who enjoys the finer things in life-- be it dining (which is of course his favorite), men's fashions or screwing with other people's minds (he's obsessed with Will Graham). Not to mention, he's hot as hell. You know Hannibal might kill you and eat you, but you can't help but be drawn to him. The show makes several allusions to Hannibal being the Devil or possibly a fallen angel. Whatever he is, Hannibal is danger wrapped up in a very pretty package.  After the show's finale, have we seen the last of Hannibal? Luckily, the ending left enough wiggle room so the show COULD be picked up elsewhere (if they find a suitable taker). Please Netflix or Amazon or Hulu or anyone! I'm still suffering from Hannibal withdrawal. See my reviews here: Hannibal Reviews
