The Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 11 Review: There Goes The Neighborhood

"Knots Untie" was a bit uneventful after a stellar mid season premiere and a fun episode last week. I'm not worried though. I'm in for the long haul "TWD".

Jesus takes Ricky and company back to his community. Along the way they rescue his doctor pal. Doc will come in handy since Maggie and Glenn's baby is on the way (especially since he has an ultrasound machine). I'm worried about what all this happiness means for Glaggie in the future. Especially after Maggie said "It's going to cost us something". Not good people. Not good.

Hilltop reminds me of a plantation. There's a big house with lots of small ones around it. The residents are able to grow crops and have a walled perimeter. They aren't very good at defending themselves though and have little ammo. They are continually being extorted by Negan.

Rick sends Maggie to negotiate with the leader whose name is Gregory. One of Hilltop's citizens stabs Gregory (because his brother is being held hostage by the Saviors). Too bad Gregory lives. He's a jerk but there are bigger fish to fry. The typical fight breaks out between Team Rick and their new acquaintances. Jesus gets in the middle and calms people down. Is Rick required to be covered with blood, once per season? If so, "check"

Rick's crew will take out Negan for 50% of of Hilltop's supplies. Uh, don't you want to maybe figure out who you're dealing with first? I guess not. .

In other news, what's up with the love triangle of Abe, Rosita and Sasha? Sasha obviously likes Abe but knows he's with Rosita. And why doesnt Rosita get a bigger role in the show? She's smart and is a good fighter. Please give the girl something else to do. I think it's so splitsviille for Rabe though since Abe accidentally loses the necklace she made for him.

We saw CyCarl stayed behind with baby Judith but where is Carol, Morgan, Denise, Tara and Eugene? We didnt see anything about them this week.

Grade: 3 1/2 Monsters (out of 5). "Knots Untie" was a slow episode but things will really speed up when we meet Negan. Do we really have to wait till the season finale for that (as is rumored)?
