Rick and Morgan have a little chat. Morgan says cryptic things like "It's a circle...everything has a return". They encounter a zombie woman in a field with it's back turned. Is it Carol? Nope, thank goodness! Morgan tells Rick to go home. Morgan continues in search of Carol.
Meanwhile Glenn and company arrive back at the railroad tracks. Rosita thinks back Denise's death until Glenn tells her to snap out of it. They catch up with Daryl who isn't happy to see them. He's gunning for Dwight in a big way.
The team splits up. Glenn and Michonne are captured by the Saviors. It looks like Daryl and Rosita will come to their rescue. That is until Dwight sneaks up on Daryl and appears to shoot him in the shoulder. Seriously? Is Dwight a ninja or what? Blood is splattered on the camera lens. Then we hear Dwight say "you'll be all right". Is "The Walking Dead" trying to psych us out again like they did with Glenn and the magical dumpster? No one is for-sure-dead until we see their body. I won't be fooled again "TWD"!
- "It's a circle...everything has a return".- Morgan
- "I have to keep going. And I don't want anything get in my way."- Maggie
- "When they come for us, we'll end it. The whole thing... The world's ours and we know how to take it"- Rick
- "Morgan, Michonne did steal that protein bar."- Rick
- "The world's not what we thought it was-- Hilltop, the Saviors-- it's bigger."- Glenn
Grade: 4 Monsters (out of 5). I would give "East" a lower score due to the stupid situations they put the characters in. However, Carol continues to be a bad ass so extra points.
Next week is the season finale and the introduction of Negan. Bad things will happen. Who will survive? Could the main character (Rick) bite it? He does appear particularly cocky while talking to Michonne about the Saviors. "When they come for us, we'll end it. The whole thing... The world's ours and we know how to take it." I wouldnt be so sure.
