Imposters Season 2 Premiere Review: Who Is Going To Believe A Con Artist? Everyone, If She Is Good.

Bravo's "Imposters" was a surprise hit in 2017. See my reviews here A mysterious woman cons her way through numerous victim's lives. Three of the unfortunate (Ezra, Richard and Jules) eventually ban together to take her down. The FBI (Patrick) is also on Maddie's trail. Lots of hi jinx occurs as we're never sure who is the cat and who is the mouse in this twisty tale.

Season 2 returns on Thursdays at 10 ET. In the first episode, "Fillion Bollar King", Maddie is again on the run from...well everyone. She is now going by the name Molly Jackson and hopes to live a quiet small town existence. We know that won't last long.

The threesome (now referred to as the "Bumblers") are trying to sell the $1.4 million ring they stole from the FBI in last year's finale. They head to Richard's hometown of Scottsdale. After a run-in with some bad guys (who not surprisingly try to shaft them) the trio heads for Mexico instead.

Max (on the run from the Doctor and the Feds) is off on his own and not fairing well. When he tries to run a stupid con on a barkeep, he gets beaten to a bloody pulp. Word is that Lenny Cohen (the delightfully evil Uma Thurman) will make another appearance this season. We also got a brief glimpse in episode 1 of Shelly Cohen (fellow fixer and Lenny's ex husband). He's played by Paul Adelstein (who is also co-creator of the show). Those two are going to cause some serious damage. I can't wait!

Grade: 4 1/2 Monsters (out of 5). A fun season premier for the sleeper hit of last year. In the end, it doesnt really matter who is conning who-- since everyone is having so much fun.
