Orphan Black Season 3 Episode 6 Review: Alison & Donnies Twerking Scene Is The Funniest Thing I Have Seen In...Forever

You're keeping me on toes "Orphan Black". Just when I think you're going to zig, you zag. "Certain Agony of the Battlefield" begins with Sarah still locked up in an undiscovered location.  She is having hallucinations. Meanwhile Cosima wakes up under better circumstances. She's had sexy times with Shay. Sure Shay is nice to look at but I still dont trust her.

Delphine Who? I Dont Know Any Delphine.

The scene of Alison and Donny twerking in their bedroom in their underwear was the funniest thing I have seen in... F-O-R-E-V-E-R. That well made up for not seeing Alison at all last week. Whoever came up with that idea is pure genius. Alison and Donnie need a store front in order to launder money. Alison plans to take over her mom's shop (which is named "Bubbles"). Apparently mom sells soap too.

Delphine is back from Topside headquarters (somewhere in Europe). She heard Sarah was missing. Delphine also knows about the tests they're performing on Seth's brain and Gracie. Delphine tells Cosima she misses her (but Delphine still cant be trusted). She was after all behind the pictures being taken of Shay and Cosima last week.

Stop Asking "Why" & Start Asking "Who"

Sarah is very sick. Virginia injected her with some of Rudy's blood. She hallucinates Beth, Kira and the young Leda clone we met previously. Meanwhile Helena is running through the desert with Rudy in hot pursuit. Pupok tells Helena to get up and keep going. Helena instead chomps down on him. RIP Pupok! You were a good imaginary scorpion sidekick. Oh and since he's imaginary, I assume Pupok can come back at some point. Yes?

I Knew I Should Have Gotten My SAG Card

Scott takes Felix to Rachel. He harasses her in order to get intel on where Sarah is. Felix is getting desperate to help Sarah. You go Felix! Scott later calls Cosima saying he thinks Rachel knows what the codes in Duncan's book means.

Can Yo Please Give Felix More To Do On This Show? He's Great!

Paul forcibly takes over the base and ousts Virgina. It turns out what we thought last week was true. Dr Coady is doing human sterilization trials on civilian women. Anyone who has sex with the Castor boys becomes sick and eventually sterile.

And the shocker of the episode, Paul and Rudy fight and Paul is stabbed. Paul tells Sarah how to escape and then heads back to confront Virginia. Paul says "cure them Virginia and drop the rest". Virginia replies with "the science in this room can change the future of mankind. I'm sorry Paul I cant". She then shoots him several times. That woman is harsh. But the trick's on them. Paul is holding a hand grenade with the pin out. He drops it as he dies.

So Long Hot Paul.  At Least You Were A Good Guy In The End.

Helena comes back for her sestra (as we always knew she would). She picks up an injured Sarah and they head to freedom.

Favorite Quotes:

  • "The only reason you're alive is because of me"- Pupok the imaginary scorpion.
  • "Now nut up and take me to the cyclops."- Felix to Scott about Rachel.
  • "We do terrible things for those we love. Stop asking "why" and start asking "who"- Dead Beth to Sarah.
  • "Cosima, I miss you."- Delphine. You sure have a funny way of showing it.
  • "No one is coming for you because no one cares"- Felix to Rachel.
  • "It was never Beth that I loved" Paul to Sarah before he dies (implying that he loved Sarah instead).

Grade: 5 Monsters (out of 5). A perfect episode that had a little bit of everything-- Alison and Donnie twerking (the best), sexy times with Shay and Cosima, Delphine reappearing, and the tragic deaths of Paul and Pupok. We also learn more about what Coady is up to. She is working on a biological weapon from the Castor's blood. And oh yeah the genetic anomaly that the clones have is the same but affects the boy's brains and the girl's reproductive systems. Was this the best episode of the season?
