Since I've previously listed the Oscar and Golden Globe winners, I thought it would be fun to list the worst movies of all time from various sources. You never really appreciate a good movie (or actor) till you see a bad one. Of the movies I've seen that are listed, most definitely earned it. A few (like Showgirls, Mommie Dearest, and Catwoman) are so bad that they cross over into camp. I love those movies! My top picks are listed below. Let me know which movies you think are worst if all times.
- Dead Alive/Braindead is a 1992 New Zealand movie by Peter Jackson (the same person who brought us the The Lord of the Rings trilogy). Not sure how the man got a job after this movie: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Braindead_(film) Listed as one of the goriest films of all times, it includes baby zombies, zombie fighting intestines and massive zombie death tolls by lawnmower. Its so bad I haven't recovered from seeing it and that was several years ago.
- Lawnmower Man is the story of a simple gardener who gets turned into a genius thanks to VR (virtual reality) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104692/ It's based on a short story by Stephen King (who sued the studio several times to get his name off it). Not sure why I hated it so much but I really hated it-- and I'm not the only one: http://www.underthegunreview.net/2012/08/06/332792/ There's also a sequel. God help us all.
- Any movie with Nicholas Cage in it. Examples include The Wicker Man, Ghost Rider, Conair and National Treasure
