- I hate to say this but if you're in NY when the SHTF you are SOL (especially if you're a woman in form fitting clothing who is traveling alone)
- Learning to reload your own ammo is being done by many people. You want to relo for all your weapons (both bullets and shotgun shells).
- I really wish I had the money for an underground bunker. I would live in there permanently.
- NBC filter = nuclear, biological, chemical
- Many people forget the importance of maintaining "rituals" when SHTF (such as sitting down to dinner together, religious observation, celebrating other events such as birthdays and anniversaries).
- Why do these people have so many kids? And where are Bryan's 12 family members? We didn't see any of them. Sorry dude but you give me the willies. And if I were you I'd move far away from Florida.
- It always amazes me when people get their prepper scores and have attitudes. If ya want to stay alive ya better start taking advice and learning from other people.
- I've said it before but I'm saying it again. Where do these people get all their money?
- The average person can paddle or walk 2-3 miles per hour.
- Sure building a castle is none too conspicuous. It gives the neighbors something to storm when the SHTF. They can bring pitchforks, torches and s'mores.
- Practice, practice and practice again.
- How many people do ya need to maintain your homestead long term? Of course you can't have everyone dedicated to just security. Ya also need food prep, sanitation, etc. and people can't work 24 a day so you need different shifts.
- An EMP attack could happen. Check out my blog on "One Second After" for a really good book abut EMPs effects on a small town.
- Have you noticed that a disproportionate number of preppers are from NC?
