Now We Have Ray And Charlotte And Cesar (Because He Reads Vampire Erotica) As Well As Hank And Sonya As Well As Daniel And Adrianna. That Ought To Keep Me Busy A While.

With these three episodes "Eye of The Deep", "Harvest of Souls" and "Lamia" we finally have most of our main characters coming in contact with one another. I was beginning to think they would never get together. Let's take it from the top. As I've said before this is a "general" overview. If I go into detail on this show, I'll be here for the rest of my life.

David Tate is attacked in prison and his eyeball is scooped out with a melon baller. Ouch! Galvin sneaks Marco into the prison so he can kill him as revenge for his son's death. Marco cant do it though. He wants him alive to suffer instead. Galvin says "Dont worry Marco, I'll take care of him". Tate is a goner.

Marco and Sonya Visit Eva and Linder

Juaraz Prosecutor Pintado and Marco and Sonya visit Eva at the ranch. She IDs two cops (Captain Robles and Domingo) that were her attackers. Of course unbeknownst to Sonya and Marco, Domingo is tied up in the barn. After hearing Pintado was killed (they made it look like an accident), Eva goes to the barn. Domingo says horrible things to her. She kills him with an ax. She doesnt know that Linder is in the background looking on.

Sonya and Marco later go to Juarez to try to find Pintado deposition of Eva. They finally locate it but just then two cops show up. One is killed and one is wounded. Marco orders Sonya outside and then shoots the other one dead. He tells Sonya "We were never here". Marco is later cleared of all charges in the deaths. Robles says he will get an accommodation. He also threatens Sonya. Marco says that if Sonya or Eva are approached he will send Eva's deposition to the higher ups and ruin Robles.

Adrianna, Girl You In Danger!

Frye and Adrianna are investigating Grupo Clio (and company). They also interview the guy who killed Chuchito and Raul. He points them to Cerisola. Adrianna publishes the story but now her life is in danger too.

I Do Not Like You Jack Dobbs! I May Go All Buffalo Bill On Your Ass!

Jack tells Sonya his brother Jim (and the murder of Sonya's sister Lisa) is dead. They will not have a ceremony for him. She wants to attend while they put him in the furnace. I guess she just wanted closure. They later put his ashes in the dumpster. Remember Jack had also taken one of Jim's drawings from Sony's refrigerator. He goes to a water tower in the desert and starts digging. There he finds a body. It's another woman named Bridget Rowland. She was killed some two years before Lisa. Later he brings Sonya and Hank to the body. Hank ties to beat Jack to a pulp for purposefully not saying that he knew something. That poor girl's parents could have had closure all those years ago. He also should have told someone what his brother was up to years ago. In Jack's defense he was 13 and didnt know what Jim was up to. Jack responses that Hank shot Jim even though he was unarmed. Hank says it's true but he did it to protect Sonya. He offers to turn himself in. Sonya is now upset with both Jack and Hank (he gives her the apartment key back). Sonya later goes to Bridget's mother's house.

Monte introduces Charlotte and Ray to their new home / place of employment. It's Red Ridge (the real estate development where Eleanor at the beginning of the season killed Chip and his family). Cesar is also working there. Oh dear. I'd be very uncomfortable if I was in their shoes.

Frey and Adrianna are able to connect Clio to Red Ridge. They go and meet Ray. Monte contacts Eleanor. Ray and Charlotte apparently want payment to keep their mouth shut? Cesar picks up Eleanor at the dirt landing strip. She then meets R & C in a dinner. Here we FINALLY learn something about Eleanor's past.

She tells them a story about how a girl was being raped and abused by her father. Galvan went to the village and castrated the man and fed his penis to the dog he had been starving. Then he put him in a cage... and he's still in a cage. We now know who she was feeding an acorn to in a previous episode. DenseRay asks if its a parable. Eleanor tells them she wants them to know the kind of man they work for. Ray asks what they get out of it. Eleanor says "You get to live". But in Ray's case, I secretly hope he dies.

Later Charlotte asks for a deal from Agent McKenzie. He tells her she will help him take down Galvan. Poor Charlotte is getting it from both ends.

Adrianna's girlfriend Lucy is stabbed. Adriana finds her and calls an ambulance. It's not looking good. It appears she killed her attacker though. But did she stab him with knitting needles? I couldnt see since it was dark but they were long and pointy. Who ordered this hit? Was it Cerisola or Galvan or Eleanor or someone else?

A nurse visits David Tate in the prison infirmary. She shoves a tube up his nose and injects it with something. He starts to convulse. I guess Galvan took care of the problem after all. Tate is dead. Bye Tate! You will not be missed.

Grade: 4 1/2 Monsters (out of 5). The story lines are FINALLY intersecting.  I think "Lamia" is one the best episodes in the series thus far.  I give it a 4 3/4. The reveals of Eleanor's past and Bridget's body were a long time coming. The tightening of the noose around Charlotte, Ray and Cesar was fun to watch. Bonus points to Cesar and Eleanor's conversation about vampire erotica novels. "I get swept up in the stories"- Cesar. Too funny!
