More on the story arc later, but suffice to say it's complicated. The main character Bo is a succubus and a Fae. There are dark fae and light fae. Bo is supposed to pick a side but she won't. Per Wikipedia, a succubus has the power to steal people's life-force through their mouths with a kiss, to bewitch people with a touch, and to feed from sexual energy. Though at first she could not feed without killing, she has since learned to control her powers. She can only go a few days without feeding. Absorbing power from other Fae can increase her strength. When Lauren (human doctor to the fae) was near death, Bo displayed an extremely powerful alternate persona, which drained the life from multiple individuals and declared that "there will be no more dark or light, only me".
- In episode 1, Bo fakes her way into Hecuba Prison. There is lots of sexual hanky panky btwn the Amazon guards and prisoners. Bo is forced to wear a form fitting red jump suit. This is not your mama's prison! Kenzi (Bo's BFF) is hilarious as always with her "redneck wig". Lauren doused herself with skunk ape scent to pass herself off as fae so she smells really bad. There was a lot of controversy surrounded this episode's depiction of a transgendered person. The warden was discovered to be a shapeshifting male fae called a liderc. He was impregnating the prisoners to sell black market fae babies. I personally didn't find the episode offensive. It's science fiction people-- not like were swimming in reality here. There's a succubus, fae, a bird baby, a wolf and Amazons.
- In episode 2, Kenzie and Bo discover a den of Alligator Fae (whatever those are). Dyson (wolf boy) teams up with a dark Fae named Tamsin ( who is a Valkyrie). Atticus is an AF and has gone blind from so many years underground. When Atticus hears his voice, he attacks Hamlin (who is the Pied Piper/ Slender Man) in revenge for the death of his wife and child. As soon as Hamlin is dead, all those under his thrall are released from the spell. That was a strange episode.

When stuff gets real what is she gonna do, science people to death? Kenzie about Lauren
Episode 1 "Caged Fae"
It is three weeks after the defeat of The Garuda and Bo is out of control breaking many Fae laws and going on a rampage through the city. She is arrested by Dyson and sent to jail for her actions. However, this is a ruse to investigate the Fae prison that is run by Amazons and the warden running it with Lauren as backup as the prison doctor. Hale is revealed to be the new acting Ash. Vex attempts to convince Dyson to take him on in the place of Hale. Bo discovers that the warden is forcing other rare Fae to bear children against their will at a highly accelerated rate so she can sell them. Bo finds out that the warden is a man, and the Amazons attack him. Bo and Lauren decide to take a shot at having a relationship. They kiss as Kenzi and Dyson look on. At the end of the episode Bo attacks a man and takes his Chi, leaving him unconscious as she walks away with an evil smile.
Episode 2 "SubterrFaenean"
Kenzi attends an art festival and witnesses a friend vanish. Kenzi asks Bo to help her and they discover a den of Alligator Fae led by a Fae named Atticus who appears to threaten to reveal the Fae to the human world. Dyson, with Hale's help, discovers that the Alligator Fae are threatened by a Pied Piper (Also referred to within the show as the Slender Man) who wants them killed to allow for his own political and economic gains. Bo's involvement leads to her bringing the Piper to Atticus and the two face off against each other. Lauren and Bo's relationship continues to grow. Bo experiences dreams of her attacking others. Trick contacts a Weaver to try and help Bo with her dreams. The Weaver does so and discovers an image of Bo in a monstrous form feeding. Dyson gets a new partner, Tamsin, who is Dark Fae. But the two are immediately at odds with each other and Tamsin accuses Bo of feeding on a Dark Fae and shows evidence to that effect.
