For those keeping track, there is a Navick-A and a Navick-B virus. Both were apparently created by Hatake. Navick-B is the one responsible for the vectors.
Jules and her silver eyes scare off the zombies. What's up with that? Hallucino-Peter tells her she is "survivor zero" (the first person to survive the virus). And we see that Constance and Sergio have crazy eyes too. So the silver eye count is up to 4-- Hatake, Julie, Constance and Sergio.
Daniel's sister and Sergio make their way to Arctic Biosystems. Along the way we find out that Sergio is from Brazil and speaks Portuguese. I dont believe anything he says though. Daniel doesnt recognize Anana when they arrive. Was his memory wiped? Daniel mentions there were lots of children at the base at one point. Where are they now? This sounds bad but, to be honest, I dont really care about the children. We have enough mysteries already.
We find out that Sergio was ordered by Constance to get the dirt on Hatake. She slaps Serge around a bit and then they do the tongue dance. That wasn't a surprise.
Constance and Alan go to Level R to retrieve Julie. Well Alan is trying to retrieve Julie but Constance is really trying to kill her. Hatake takes her back upstairs via the secret passageway. Right before Julie is escorted to the lab, Hatake says "I'm..." but then stops. What was he going to say? I'm your father, I'm in love with you, I'm an alien? Your guess is as good as mine.
Jules and Alan have a touching reunion. She appears cured except for the crazy eyes. Sarah sees them hugging and is heartbroken. And in the last scene, vectors drop through the ceiling and are now on Level B. Run for your lives!
Constance appeared to have swallowed a few business textbooks (see some of my favorite quotes below):
- Ilaria is about value add.
- Let's square the circle.
- Two simple things-- virus and cure.
- I need a quick win on this.
- We dont want to kill everyone, just thin the herd a bit.
- That's a non starter.
- We follow normal null protocol. No one gets out alive.
Grade: 4 Monsters (out of 5). The introduction of Constance Sutton is a great addition. I cant wait to find out what she's really up to. Six episodes are left in the season.
