The Walking Dead Episode 9 Recap: Teenagers Are Worse Than Zombies

"The Walking Dead" finally made it's long awaited return with an episode entitled "After". When we last saw the survivors they were fragmented and fleeing the prison after the Governor's attack. Here's the latest::

The Governor (aka Brian) is definitely dead- Yeah.
Michonne stabbed Hershel's head to finish him off. That was a touching scene. You were a good man Hershel.
Michonne is roaming the countryside with her two new zombie pets. How exactly do they keep other walkers from attacking her? I thought that only worked at a distance but not in a pack of zombies. The zombie that looked like her was a great touch. We also got to see some of Michonne's backstory and yes she did have a baby (which we had already suspected). Michonne is now tracking Rick thanks to his distinctive boot prints.
Speaking of Rick, he and Carl are held up in a house. Rick was near death and it looked like he might turn into a zombie. Carl is being a typical teenage ass. He yells at his unconscious father that he hopes he dies. Carl then proceeded to almost get himself killed twice. He then cries and says he didn't mean what he said. I know we need as many humans as possible but can Carl have his face ripped off? If he breeds I fear for the future of mankind.
Glen wakes up on a platform with zombies lurking beneath him.
We'll learn more about Daryl, Maggie, Tyrese etc next week.
Does anyone know where Baby Judith is?
Pudding- I would make a beeline for everyone's pudding stash during the zombie apocalypse. That and I would raid all the coke machines. The rest of you are on your own.

Grade: 3 1/2 Monsters (out of 5). A slower more character driven episode but that's what I expected after the big battle. There are seven episodes left this season.
