This week's episode entitled "Lovers. Apart" seemed more like a Halloween episode (but hey I'm not complaining). When we last saw Bo she had jumped off the train, followed by Dyson and Clio who jumped on the train. Then they found out Bo was gone and jumped off the train. Got all that? Good.
In the meantime, Bo finds some strange stuff going on at a house in the woods. After some investigation it turns out that a "body jumping fae" threatens the Jenkins family every year at this time/ The father brings the wife and daughter to the ancestral home to protect them (apparently this type of fae is afraid of shoes and knots). The Jumbee had previously inhabited the father as a boy and he killed his parents, brothers, and sisters. Said fae jumps into the daughter and then into Bo. Bo finds out that years earlier the Jumbee was killed along with her beloved (Noah Jenkins). Now she wants revenge on any Jenkins descendants.
Dyson and Clio finally show up to help. The spirit is reunited with her boyfriend (now husband) thanks to Bo and Dyson doing a proxy wedding. You can bet that wedding will come back up later in the season.
The Jumbee also lets Bo know that Clio is going to betray her and turn her to Vex. There's a fight and Clio may be dead (I'm not sure). Poor Mia, she gets killed in every show she's on-- first "The L Word", then "Defiance" and now "Lost Girl". Must Mia pay for playing Jenny Schecter for the rest of her life? Henceforth, I am referring to this as the "Jenny Schecter Curse". Cut the woman some slack people!
Anyway, sorry, I was off on a tangent. Lauren is back at the diner. Things heat up with Crystal and they end up in bed together. Note: if someone invites you for beer and pizza, that means they want to have sex. That's why I love this show so much. Where else would that happen? Lauren (ie Karen Beattie) discovers she's still in danger and tries to skip town. But, yes it was too good to be true. Crystal is one of the bad guys. Curses! Dyson and Bo drive by the car where Lauren is being attacked but they don't know it's her so they keep on truckin'.
In other news, Evony gets a new eyeball. That was really funny to watch. Massimo (the Druid) tells Evony he helped Tamsin get rid of Bo for her. I'm not sure what that's about. And that weird fae (Lazy John) that sucked Dyson's toe in exchange for info was TOO strange.
Grade: 4 Monsters (out of 5). A fun episode all around. Can't wait for next week.
