Into The Dark: The Body Review: Hulu's New Anthology Series Is Inspired By The Holidays
Hulu and Blumhouse Television have launched a new anthology series "Into The Dark". One story will be released on the first Friday of each month (and will be inspired by that month's holiday). First up is "The Body". It's the story of a super cool hitman trying to dispose of a famous body at Halloween. Of course, everyone thinks the body he's dragging around is part of his costume. The hitman must get it to his employer in 4 hours or he wont get paid. A Halloween party, a bunch of meddling kids (yes that is Ray Santiago from "Ash Vs Evil Dead') and would-be love interest get in his way. The killings mount as everyone tries to fight back and stay alive. Next up in the anthology is "Flesh and Blood". It will be released on November 2
Grade: 4 Monsters (out of 5). "The Body" isnt the best thing I've ever seen but it still has enough going for it to keep me watching. The show had some cool kills and interesting twists. My one criticism is that the show could have been shorter than it's 80ish minute run time. Sixty minutes (or even less) would have been sufficient.
