"Z Nation" continues to be nonstop zombie bashing fun (with a little plot and lots of camp thrown in). These two episodes are entitled "Frankin Zombies" and "Philly Feast". I assume our rag tag group will continue their mission of getting Murphy to the CDC throughout the season. What better reason is there for a cross country trip? Along the way they get to see how others are fairing during the apocalypse (and by the looks of Philadelphia they're not doing too well).

"10K", Soon To Be Called "Jeff"

Docs and and 10K have a discussion about his name. He says after he kills 20,000 zombies he'll change his name. "To what asks Doc, 20K?" He replies "Nope Jeff. I always liked the name Jeff."

Citizen Z encounters a frozen zombie and a sick dog. He nurses the dog back to health. He has been stuck in the Arctic or a long time and is very lonely. Then a zombie dog attacks. Z eventually managed to stab him and save the living dog. Z says "Take that Cujo!

We learn that zombies are attracted to high pitched sounds. This lures them away from the refinery. The plan is to fill up a tanker so they can drive cross country without having to stop for gas.

I Can See Straight Through You

Murphy is deathly afraid of zombies (probably because they tried to eat him before). He almost gets everyone killed with his screaming and carrying on. Also we're not entirely sure he's safe. It looks like he might revert to zombie form any time.

A guy named Travis joins the group. He calls Cassandra "Sunshine" and says she cant leave the family. Cassandra says Sunshine died a long time ago. Travis attacks her but she manages to kill him. Later more men arrive and find her music box. That girl must have one hell of a back story.

Please Dont Call Me Sunshine

The crew arrives in Philly. where they see someone was trying to escape with the Liberty Bell. They take the truck but it swerves, the bell comes untied and manages to wipe out a number of zombies, cutting several off at the legs. This show is freaking hilarious.

Never Trust A Fat Man During The Zombie Apocalypse

We see a brief flashback about Sunshine and then see her freaky "family" sitting down to dinner. In Philly Addy is captured by some men. Yep its that cult lead by a guy named Tobias. These people sure do eat a lot. Mental note: any time a person is grilling meat during a zombie apocalypse said "meat" is well... human. Sorry there was no tactful way to put that. For other examples see "The Walking Dead".

Cassandra is pressed for where Addy is. She finally breaks down and tells them the horrible truth. They agree they must rescue Addy. Cult Daddy is none too hospitable so they get out the heavy guns. They will trade Sunshine for Addy. So they get Addy back and want to leave town. Addy convinces them to go back for Cassandra. The Tobias group is too heavily armed (they have a 50 caliber machine gun) to attack on their own.

Excellent idea-- they put a speaker on top of a truck and Citizen Z beams some music to them. It's "Flight Of The Valykries". Meanwhile Doc poses as a customer for Sunshine. They literally rock the trailer. Too funny. The zombie music fest works. All the zombies follow the truck and overrun the camp. Tobias suffers a fitting fate in the tent where he has his hostages with their various appendages (ie last night's dinner) sawed off. But we dont see him actually die. Will he be back later?

And with that, the team continues onto their next stop. Life aint easy during the zombie apocalypse.

After taking off their tire and discovering a zombie, Doc says "Well that explains the pull to the left".
As they leave the oil refinery, 10 K says to Cassandra "Pardon me maam but there's a finger in your hair". She pulls it out, looks disgusted and flings it away. Too funny.
"Good news everyone. Sunshine has been found. The circle will not be broken"- Tobias leader of the cannibal cult.
"I miss the old days before Edward Snowden... and zombies."- Citizen Z.
"I look like a post apocalyptic stripper."- Addy after having a makeover by Tobias' "daughters".

Grade: 4 Monsters (out of 5). This is straight up zombie action. If you take it for what it's worth, it's great fun. We get to see lots of new iterations of zombies. And death by Liberty Bell was hilarious. It was definitely a "Sharknado" moment.
