How To Get Away With Murder Season 2 Episodes 2-7 Reviews: Who Shot Annalise?

I'm continuing to enjoy the craziness of "How To Get Away With Murder". Next week we apparently learn who shot Annalise. Of course it could be anyone (or multiple anyones) at this point. Things are NEVER what they seem on this show.

Below is a brief overview of what lead up to Annalise bleeding out on the ground. I wont review the cases of the week (since they're just entertaining fillers). We know Annalise being shot somehow involves the Hapstall siblings because it's their house she is outside of. Also presumed dead is DA Sinclair. The Keating Five along with Bonnie and Nate are at the scene as well.

The list of suspects (in no particular order):

Wes- Annalise tells Eve that Wes is "him". What does that mean? I keep thinking Wes is her son but that might be too obvious at this point. Maybe she is responsible for his mother's suicide. And we did see Wes with a gun during the flash forward so perhaps he learns her secret,.
Asher- Asher was the only member of the Keating Five NOT involved in Sam's murder. This season he is prodded to testify against Annalise at the urging of Sinclair and his father (the powerful Judge Millstone). Asher backs out at the last minute (thanks to some cleaver manipulation by Bonnie and Annalise).
Michaela- has been having sex with Rebecca's foster brother Eggs 911. She's always been up to more than she appears. I dont think Eggs is the shooter since he was set up as a drug dealer by Frank last week.
Connor- Connor has about had it with Annalise but I dont think he's the killer.
Laurel- Laurel is one smart cookie but I dont see her having enough skin in the game to want to kill Annalise. Of course we still don't know much about her history.
Eve- She appears to still have a thing for Annalise but is she playing a long game against her instead? God help you if you cross Famke Janssen.
Nate- yes he and Annalise used to be lovers but now he hates her. We see him driving the get away car with the kids inside.
Bonnie- always a wild card, Bonnie could go psycho any second. We know she killed Rebecca by suffocating her with a plastic bag. I did enjoy learning some of Bonnie's backstory. Annalise told Asher that Bonnie's father molested her as a child. Uh, where did that video come from? Is this true or just another trick? And we did see Bonnie on top of the Hapstall house after Sinclair's body splatted on the ground at the Keating Five's feet.
Frank- he's already killed at least one person (Sam's girlfriend Lila) and dumped Catherine Hapstall's still breathing body in the woods... so there's not much this guy wont do.
The Hapstall siblings (Catherine and Caleb)- They've looks suspicious all season (especially with the sibcest angle). That probably means they ARENT the killers.
Phillip- the Hapstall cousin. Did he off Caleb and Catherine's parents and his own mother?
Oliver- No I dont really think it's Oliver. The poor guy will be lucky to survive his visit with serial killer Phillip.
ADA Sinclair- Sure she's laying dead on the ground but she could have shot Annalise first. She's been out to get her all season.
Annalise- she could have shot herself to throw everyone off track about the other horrible things she's done. I dont put anything past her.
Or some peripheral person we've seen but never suspected- I wouldnt put that past you "HTGAWM"!

My votes are: 1. Judge Millstone (he's around but not someone we'd think of). Annalise of course tried to ruin him in response to his encouraging Asher to testify against her. 2. Eve (I think it would be a great twist if Eve was behind the whole thing; 3. Annalise herself. Maybe she was going for a flesh wound and the gun slipped.

Grade: 4 Monsters (out of 5). "How To Get Away With Murder" continues to be a compelling mystery. And I LOVE watching Viola Davis chewing the scenery and everyone around her. Who do you think shot Annalise? And what do you think they'll do with the second half of the season (there are 15 episodes total).
