"The Collector" has a vendetta against the CDC. This episode provides a good review of both zombies in popular culture ("Night Of The Living Dead") and the various zombies on "Z Nation". The collector has in his museum: a radioactive zombie, a phytozombie, a blaster and one celebrity . We see a zombified George R.R Martin of "Game of Thrones" fame. Murphy of course doesnt know who he is. Zombie George signs copies of "Promise of Spring" (based on the real book "A Dream Of Spring") and then tries to eat them. George is also trying to finish another book but it's not going so well. Hilarious.
There's also a great interview segment called "Dead Live" in which the Collector interview Murphy about what happened to him and his abilities. This is obviously a spoof of "The Talking Dead". Murphy tearfully remembers baby Lucy. He's also forced to eat brains (which he has been craving anyway and really lilkes).
The collector wants to add Murphy to his group. When Murphy refuses he decides he'll drain out all of his blood instead. Luckily 10K happens upon them before it's done. In a fitting end, the Collector is chomped on by zombies (who Murphy was able to control telepathically). Murphy is back with the crew again.
Grade: 4 Monsters (out of 5). A fun little episode. I always love the show any time Murphy is featured. Also I dont know how they got George R.R. Martin but he was a great addition. Can we look forward to more celebrity zombies in the future?
