The Inn Season 3 Episode 3-5 Recaps: A Sacrifice Must Always Be Made (Season Finale)

I had previously stopped reviewing "The Inn" on a weekly basis since the episodes are so short (less than 4 minutes each). Check out the show at http://www.prettytheseries.com/ It's only viewable with Firefox (not Internet Explorer, Safari or Chrome).

Here's the latest goings on:

A person who appears to be Jane's husband is tied to a bed. He's trying to get Jane (we know that's not her real name) to find the keys and untie him. She's still ranting about her son Jacob. Tied Up Guy says her son was never born. She had a miscarriage. Then they talk about the ball Jane keeps seeing. Tied Up Guy says he bought the ball but never had a chance to give it to their son.

Jane goes into Creepy Bald Guy's room and the keys are attached to his belt. She tries to get them. Demon Eyed Guy appears and gives her the keys. He is indeed freaky looking. And just when she's about to untie Tied Up Guy, Crazy Bald Guy appears. "Check out... is... NOT... until... 11... AM" he says while holding a shovel. Well that couldn't be good. Question: Why does everyone on this show pause... so... much... between... each... word? It is distracting.

Jane escapes and says goodbye to Demon Eyed Guy (who she calls Jacob) and the little boy with the ball. She then heads down a path in the woods where she runs into Lola (Lesley Webber from "General Hospital") who makes a little speech about the truth and that sacrifices must always be made. She gives Jane a knife.

Next Creepy Bald Guy and the Sheriff drag Previously Tied Up Guy to Jane. She says their son Jacob actually was born. Hubby killed the child when he wouldn't stop crying. He then blamed it on Jane who was sent to a mental asylum. She has been blaming herself all along for running over Jacob. She stabs Hubby while saying "I forgive you... but Jacob doesn't."

Jane says to Lola "My car didn't break down here, I broke down here." She then tells her about the little boy. Lola says "maybe they're not always ghosts, maybe they're an apparition of things to come."

Fash forward eight months, we're back at the diner with Lola. A new woman arrives and sits at the counter. Its the same scenario as Jane's. Her car broke down. A pregnant Jane comes by and says "Talk to Teddy, tell him Jane sent ya".

OK what does any of this mean? I have no idea. I'm thinking they're all ghosts (since Jane asks Lola if that was her headstone in the woods). And wasn't that innkeeper blind before? He's not now. Maybe they're all in purgatory and have to work out their issues before they can be at peace? Please let me know your thoughts.

Grade: 3 1/2 Monsters (out of 5). I would give it 4 Monsters but the episodes are just too short to hold my attention. Is this the end of the series or will they keep going?
