Episode 4: "Magic Of The Gods"
Were magicians actually extraterrestrials who were described as magical by ancient peoples because they had no other way to explain such powers? Several examples are given.
- Buddha crosses from one side of the Ganges River to the other in an instant.

- Was Merlin an extraterrestrial being that shaped King Arthur's future and helped created the British empire?

- The power of invisibility (also known as "mirage cloaking") has been accomplished recently to a limited degree VERY INTERESTING. Its basically using heated carbon fibers to create an optical illusion that something is invisible (because you're really looking at what's around it instead of the object itself). The Helmet of Hades may have been based on similar technology.
- Other hand held technologies such as Thor's Hammer or Zeus' Thunderbolt may have actually been technologically advanced tools.
- Moses vs the Egyptian magicians was the greatest magic contest ever recorded. What technology was used to turn rods into serpents, water into blood, unleash plagues of locusts, etc? Interestingly, the Egyptian magicians were able to keep up with Moses during the first 3 tasks (I never understand how they accomplished those either).
Episode 5: "The Satan Conspiracy"
This episode is not available On Demand which I find curious considering the episode after it and the episode before it are. Hmm. Perhaps it really is a conspiracy. Luckily it's available on the History channel website.
- Was Satan really an alien who gave forbidden knowledge to Adam and Eve?
- The Book of Enoch tells the story of 200 angels called "The Watchers" who were charged with helping humans. They wanted to take wives and live among mankind and so started a rebellion. They then gave humans the tools of civilization. Enoch was Noah's great grandfather. The book is in the Apocrypha (which are books that were left out of the Bible when the King James version was compiled). - A similar story exists of the Anunnakis (who looked like reptiles or vipers) giving the Sumerians technologically advanced tools.
- Satan is considered to be a seraphim (or giant serpent) which is the highest of nine orders of angels. .

- Viracocha in the Inca tradition brought humans advancement and enlightenment.

- Our present day notice of Satan is probably of mixture of all these various stories.
Episode 6: "Alien Operations"
This episode is about operations and if some surgical technology was passed on to the ancients by extraterrestrials. Cranial Trepanation was practiced in several ancient civilizations and is removal of parts of the skull to stop blood clots, heal war injuries, etc. Needless to say you don't want to have one if you can avoid it. The power over death is the ultimate power. I think many cases of those are ancients thinking the person is dead because they had no way to tell what was going on with the person (coma, etc).
Grade: 4 Monsters (out of 5). A solid season to date thus far. I especially enjoyed the episode on magicians.
