True Blood Episode 7 Recap: That Drink Has A Bite To It

With 3 episodes to go till the season finale of "True Blood", I will hereby declare this season MUCH better than the last one. I'm loving all the characters (except Sam and the wolves are getting on my nerves).

The fairies are still basking in the afterglow. Warlow thinks they will be wed now. Sookie has other ideas. Apparently he doesn't know her track record.

I just LOVE Pam. She is doing yoga when Willa (severed arm in tow) comes to free her. She has that therapist wrapped around her little finger. MORE AIR TIME FOR PAM!!

I enjoyed Eric and Nora's escape form Vamp Camp by hiding under a True Blood truck. Eric asks Bilith to heal Nora (who is infected with hepatitis V). Bilith gives her his blood but it doesn't work Bill then goes to find Warlow (to get his blood) but Sookie wont say where he is.

We see a flashback of when Eric first met Nora. Hint: it was during the Plague. In a touching scene she dies. There's no danger of her being brought back to life cause there's nothing left of her. Great acting by Alexander Skarsgard.

Sarah Newlin finds Truman's body. She has a rousing speech with his head (which as you will recall was separated from his body by Bilith last week). And then she kisses him. Ewww... uncomfortable. Sarah says "This was all part of God's plan and God... IS... good". Watch out! Sarah is the new sheriff in town and she's a lot worse than Truman ever thought about being. She has Jason stabbed and thrown into GenPop ("general population" to you civilians). Who is the mysterious vampire that says Jason is hers? We could use some new characters

Sam and Nicole have a shower scene and then he takes her to her mother. Alcide tells the pack that her killed both Sam and Nicole. However they all know Alcide is lying when Rikki drags Nicole and her nice mother out. Ah oh.

Jason goes to find Jessica. She asks him to bring the vampire that Sarah and crew almost forced her to have sex with last week. His name is James and he's easy on the eyes. They ripped out one of his teeth as punishment. Jessica and James have hot vampire sex. Can we see more please???

Poor Arlene is mourning Terry's passing. Sookie leaves fairyland to console her. I was surprised at how affected I was by Carrie Preston's performance at the graveyard. She is a great actress. Lafayette and Sookie go to find out what was in Terry's safety deposit box. It's a life insurance policy that Terry bought 3 days before he was killed.

Best quotes:
  • "Drop one octave and repeat... God is good."- Sarah listening to her motivational tapes.
  • "But you must hear all kinds of deviant shit in this office"- Pam to the therapist who has the hots for her.

Grade: 4 Monsters (out of 5) for the episode "In The Evening". If the rest of the season keeps up this pace, I'll be a happy camper.
