Lost Girl Season 5 Episode 2 Review: Like Hell Part 2 (Or Im Persephone And Im Your Step Mother)

Episode 2 picks up exactly where the first one left off. Kenzie wakes up in a coffin and tries not the freak out. Next she's being wheeled on a gurney by Lauren and Dyson. We did not see it onscreen but they dug her up. It's a good thing Dyson is a werewolf.

Let's All Drink Every Time Bo Has Sex With Someone

Kenzi quickly recovers. Lauren and Kenzi share some vodka. They see Bo/someone/something write "help" on a glass. Kenzi gets a Ouija board to try to contact the spirit. Side Note: Has any good EVER come from people using Ouija boards? No! You should turn back now (but I know you wont listen to me).

Elsewhere Bo is still stuck in Hell. Or should we call it Tartarus? I cant keep up with this crazy show. She gets cut on the leg by a weird creature. A bird woman appears. Bo feeds on the woman to heal herself. They later have sex. At the same time, Lauren is feeling the same things as the woman. Is Bo somehow communicating with Lauren across realms? If so that's a nifty trick.

Bo, Must You Have Sex With Everyone You Meet?

Here's where it gets freaky. The bird woman turns out to the Persephone who is the wife of Hades. She is Bo's step mother. Say what? Yuck. I'm not surprised by anything that happens on this show. So that makes Bo's Daddy Hades (so he really is a god).

Bo goes on a rant. Persephone says Bo needs to get out of Hell as soon as possible. Next they end up in a nursery. This is where Bo was born. There's a cage where her mother Aoife was kept as well. Bo later has a confrontation with Daddy (sorta). We only see a big hairy black monster hand reach into the elevator and try to strangle her. Bo gets away. Now she has the Artemis Candle (which is a candle Persephone's mother gave her to lead her home).

Kenzi and Lauren do a seance and find out the spirit doing the nasty with Lauren was not Bo. It was an Edimmu (whatever that is). They scream their heads off, trap the Edimmu in a Ouija board and set it ablaze in the fireplace.

Meanwhile Dyson has an encounter with Stacy and gets her to leave the gates of Valhalla open. Remember Stacey was sent by Freyja to find a soul to replace Kenzi. Later she hangs out with Dyson at the Dal. She considers possible replacements. How about Trick? Nope, he's a liar. How bout Dyson? Nope. How bout Vex? It has to be someone that is important to Bo so it cant be him. Stacy later crashes the loft. She's decided Lauren will go back. But Tamsin arrives and insults Stacy (who leaves in a huff). Apparently Valkyrie are very sensitive about their hair.

Bo returns through the Valhalla's gates with the candle. She is to light it for Persephone when she gets home. This way Persephone's family will know she's OK.

Bad Things Happen After People Eat Dinner Together

The "family" is all together for dinner. There's Bo, Kenzi, Lauren, Dyson, Tamsin, and Trick. This reminds me of the most recent "Bates Motel". When people are happy on horror/sci fi shows, they die. So the moral of the story is, never be happy. That's free advice from me to you.

After shooting the Edimmu before it could kill Lauren (it wasnt dead the first time) Kenzi decides she's have enough of fae life. She's going to live on the land that Hale left her. Why is it in Spain of all places? I'm sure it's lovely there but it's FAR away. Bo and Kenzi have a touching scene. But have no fear. We know Ksenia Solo will be joining the cast of "Orphan Black" this season. Yeah!

Bo pulls the boards from her windows. Per Persephone she is supposed to let the light in. She then lights the candle. At the same time we see a blond woman in an elevator holding the same candle. She looks evil. First the candle disappears and then it reappears. The scene goes dark and there's a scream. I fear Bo has been tricked... yet again.

Grade: 3 3/4 Monsters (out of 5). Bo spent more time wandering around in Hades than I would like. But this is "Lost Girl" dont fight it, just roll with it. I'm anxiously awaiting the Hades reveal (since we already know who that is).
