Baby Dutch
"Bangarang" opens with Dutch and John in action. We're introduced to the RAC (Reclamation Apprehension Coalition) which is apparently independent of other groups. There's also an entity known as "the Company" that's in charge of most things. War is on the verge of breaking out among the various inhabitants of the Quad.
Dutch seems to be ethical and doesnt like to take "kill warrants" since you have to actually kill the person. I'm sure we'll learn more about that later since she has a mysterious past (something about a father figure, red boxes and child assassins).
Necklace of Death
The hallway fight scene where Dutch's necklace became exploding robot spiders was the highlight of the episode. Where can I get a necklace like that? The production values seem fairly high. The characters are easy on the eyes (especially Dutch). But is it all enough to keep me coming back? I'm not sure yet. I'm definitely willing to give it another look though. Hopefully the killjoys will grow on me.
The Killjoys In Action
Grade: 3 1/2 Monsters (out of 5). The show isnt on my "must see TV" yet but does have some potential. I'm willing to give it a few more episodes to see.
