ZNation Season 2 Episode 2 Review: Zombie Cardio

"White Light" opens with everyone running...and running...and running. I'm tired just from watching them. In the Arctic, Citizen Z is being chased by zombified soldiers. In Cheyenne, Murphy and Cassandra (still wearing a bikini and white fur coat) are being chased by Vasquez (the guy we met at the strip club). He in turn is being chased by Warren and crew. And there are hundreds of zombies milling about. If that wasn't bad enough, all sorts of people show up with machine guns, bazookas, and God knows what else. They are taking the bounty on Murphy's head very seriously. Remember he wanted dead or alive.

10K gets tossed due to a missile but luckily Cassandra seems to have a moment of clarity and doesn't chomp him. Murphy gives everyone the slip for a few minutes by dressing a zombie up as himself.

One of the bounty hunters almost strangles Doc. He sees himself floating above his body. Luckily Doc grabs what I think is a letter opener and stabs the guy in the neck. Great scene!

Murphy In A Daring Escape Attempt

Murphy jumps off a roof. We see lots of blood splatter. Is this the end of Murphy? Nope, he landed in a dry pool filled with zombies. He scurries away. Hilarious!

The New Guy

Warren is attacked by a guy in a hallway. Surprisingly she is rescued by Vasquez. Mack goes into a dark room. Great visual with his flashlight in the dark. Addy is on the other side of a locked door. She tries to save him but it's too late. He's eaten by zombies. Addy later gives Mack mercy by shooting him in the head.

Poor Mack

The team (minus Mack) meets up again. Addy beats the crap out of Murphy and blames him for Mack's death. Everyone is upset by the loss. They all pile into the van (including Cassandra and Vasquez) and head out on the road. "Operation Bite Mark" is back in action.
Grade: 4 1/2 Monsters (out of 5). Great episode! I loved the nonstop action. I'm glad "Z Nation" recognizes what it does best-- over the top zombie comedy with a little horror thrown in. The sight of everyone chasing everyone else while zombies flutter about was hilarious. Murphy trying the convince his zombie followers to give him some space was also a hoot.

One Of Several Near Death Experiences

With an episode entitled "White Light" we expect someone to bite it. "Z Nation" toyed with us as to which character it would be. 10K was almost knocked unconscious. Doc was almost strangled to death. Addy was almost killed by a bounty hunter and a few zombies. It looked like Warren might be a goner. Citizen Z might die (which to be honest I wouldn't be opposed to). In the end it was Mack though. I'm sorry to see him go but that was a great parting scene. Lots of feels! RIP Mack. At least you wont have to deal with Z's any more.
