Book Review: UFOs and JFK and Elvis: Conspiracies You Dont Have to Be Crazy to Believe

Richard Belzer (aka John Munch on "Law & Order: SVU") takes a irreverent look at the greatest conspiracies of our times. Though the book was written some 15 years ago we're still struggling with the same questions today. Richard's basic message is "dont believe what I say, just think for yourself".

While much of the book focuses on the JFK assassination, other topics include:

  • UFO coverups
  • Alien abductions
  • J Edgar Hoover
  • Did man (humans) actually land on the moon
  • And if he did, were there aliens already there. See "lunar architecture" for examples.
  • If you're looking for info on Elvis though, you'll be disappointed. Elvis has left the building.
At the end of the book, I found myself sad that it was over. Maybe he'll do a second book with more conspiracies. There are plenty to choose from. What does Belz think of Bigfoot? Is Bigfoot responsible for crop circles? What's up with the Illuminati? And why is the government spying on me?

Grade: 4 Monsters (out of 5). While hard core conspiracy nuts may not find anything new here, it's a fun light read for the rest of us. Who knows. Maybe lots of what he says are true. I am after all an alien (but dont tell anyone).
