"Siberia" keeps getting better and better. The group that set out last week for the producer's campsite finds it bloody and abandoned. They then head back to the cabins. Oops, talk about uncomfortable for Esther. Everyone wants to kill her. I think they should... her only redeeming quality is she's easy on the eyes.
Poor Irene is in bad shape and may die. Daniel says he won't let anything bad happen to her. They find out Miljan has the journal. He's such a weirdo. Sam translates since he knows Russian. The journal was written in 1927 and mentions a scary group of natives called the "Valley Men". Are they still in the woods and out to get our campers?
Johnny has had enough and goes crazy, turning over The Revealer box. They find its made of gears and a timer. The last item they received was one gas mask. Also written on the box is "Behavior / Reward Simulator Test Group C". What do we make of that? Are/were there other test groups?
Daniel sees a radio tower in the distance. Daniel Johnny, Sam and Joyce are determined to hike to it. Meanwhile it's getting cold in Siberia. The last scene was of the group as they viewed the effects of the Tunguska explosion.
For anyone not familiar, the Tunguska explosion occurred in 1909 when an asteroid crashed near the Tunguska River in Russia. Per Wikipedia, it knocked down an estimated 80 million trees over an area covering 2,150 square kilometers (830 sq mi). It is estimated that the shock wave from the blast would have measured 5.0 on the Richter scale. What does Tunguska have to do with our survivors? I have no idea. I guess they could be near that area in Russia.
Grade: 4 1/2 Monsters (out of 5). Almost perfection! I can wait till next week.
