The National Geographic spinoff of "Doomsday Preppers", "Doomsday Castle" premiered Tuesday at 10 PM ET: http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/channel/doomsday-castle/.
While "Doomsday Preppers" usually splits the show between 2-3 different stories, it appears "Doomsday Castle" will follow this one family for the duration. I'm not sure how long that will hold my attention.
Brent Senior and 5 of his teenage/ young adult kids built a castle in North Carolina. There are two sets of kids from different mamas. Speaking of mamas, where are they? Me thinks they don't want to play build the castle.
Brent thinks the end will come by EMP (electro magnetic pulse). It could happen. But don't ya think one of the first places people will run to is to your big castle that they see on the hill? But what do I know? Apparently Brent already had a bunker under the castle so I would have just built a normal looking house on top of that.. but they probably wouldn't do a show called "Doomsday Ranch Houses".
Am I the only one that remembers seeing Brent and clan previously on "Doomsday Preppers"? DC does include expanded footage that I don't remember though so all is good. Ambushing the castle was a excellent way to show the kids what could happen if they're not prepared. Brent Jr (called Brent II for some reason) almost offs himself with his battering ram/ four wheeler. Remember you cant protect the castle if you're dead.
