OK so episode 7 is really entitled "Dress Code" but I like mine better. When we last saw our loveable serial killer, he and Deb has been poisoned by Hannah McKay (yep she's back). No harm done though. She just left Dexter on the outskirts of town. Well THAT was pretty uneventful. Couldn't she have done something to them... taken off their socks, stuck their hands in cold water, anything??? I guess not. Dexter still loves Hannah. Even Harrison loves her. And apparently Hannah loves Dexter because she says "I can only be myself around you" (or something like that). Its a lovefest all around-- except for Deb. She says "Hannah is everything that is wrong with our lives. She is a vortex, she is a black hole, she sucks everything in her being, leaving nothing behind." We all have at least one ex who matches that description. Am I right or am I right?
Hannah is now married to a rich dude named Miles (who made his fortune in international casinos). So, let me get this straight, Hannah wants Dexter to kill her husband because he's possessive? Why doesn't she just do it herself? She says because his family might suspect her. Since when has that ever stopped her? I'm not buying it. Anyway Dexter doesn't have to worry about killing the guy because he attacks Hanah and she kills him instead. Dexter shows up right after the deed is done and disposes of the body.
Meanwhile, Serial Killer Jr is knocking on Dexter's door (but Dexter is out burying Miles at sea). Cassie opens her door and says he's not home. Ham is not happy with that answer. In the last scene we see Cassie has been bludgeoned to death. Looks like Ham (err Zach Hamilton) hasn't learned anything from Dexter about waiting and only killing people that deserve it. Maybe this is a case of misdirection though and Ham didn't do it. We still have several other suspects (number 1 in my book would be the boyfriend who showed up afterwards).
In other unrelated news that no one cares about, Quinn and Jamie are moving in together. Masuka tries to get his daughter a job at the lab (so she doesn't have to work at the topless bar). Deb and Elway (her boss) get into a fight. I still think something's up with that guy. Who is named Elway?
Grade: 3 1/2 Monsters (out of 5). Not one of my most favorite episodes but not one of the worse either. Only 5 episodes left till the end of "Dexter".
