After discovering Dead Shelby in her bed last week and finding out the highway bypass will destroy her business, Norma is ready to leave White Pine Bay. Norman on the other hand does not want to leave. He's getting good grades. He slept with a girl (but she's currently ignoring him). He has a friend (Emma) and he's currently learning a new hobby (he just brought his stuffed dog Juno home).
Other random observations:
- Norman finally tells Norma he thinks she's crazy. She took it pretty well.
- Emma gets stoned on a Mary Jane cupcake. She may have a potential love interest.
- Norman's teacher is up to something. We know where "private" tutoring sessions end up.
- Sheriff Eyeliner is still ignoring Norma.
- And what is Bradley up to? I don't trust her or like her. I really hope she doesn't end up sleeping with Dylan.
- The real estate agent tells Norma he can't sell the hotel or get her money back. She then proceeds to beat him with her purse. That was funny.
- The man in number 9 (Jake Abernathy) is still terrorizing Norma by sneaking around and sending her flowers. Then he's in her backseat. He says Dead Shelby owed him $150,000 and she better pay up by midnight or else. Now whatcha gonna do? The season finale is next week so its going to be something good.
Episode 9 "Underwater"
After telling Romero that she thinks that Jake put Shelby's corpse on her bed, Norma realizes in a conversation with Dylan that his job is guarding an illegal field of Marijuana. Bradley convinces Dylan to help her reclaim some of her father's things from his office. After receiving some flowers and a threatening note in the mail, Norma puts the motel on the sale market and buys a house in Hawaii for her and Norman to move into once their home is sold. Meanwhile, Miss Watson wants Norman's creative short story to be published, but needs Norma's permission. A trimmer named Gunner gives Emma a pot cupcake in a package; she gives into temptation and eats it. At the office, Bradley finds love letters exchanged between her father and someone known as "B"; she breaks down crying. Miss Watson decides to publish the story without Norma's permission, while Norma is told by her realtor that the property won't go up for sale. As she angrily leaves, she is shocked to find Jake in her car with a pistol. Jake reveals that Shelby owed him $150k and threatens to kill her unless she delivers him the money the next night at midnight. Norma agrees.
