This episode was split between present day Storeybrooke and Neal's previous adventures in London and Neverland. Only one episode to go till the end of the season. That reminds me. I need to increase my medication.
Happenings:
- Peter Pan trades in his green tights for a shadowy outfit with yellow glowing eyes. I must say I liked the other Peter Pan much better. This guy is scary.
- Tamara and Owen don't know who they're working for back at the "Home Office"? Does that concern them? Apparently not. Who do you think it is? Someone suggested it was Wendy and her brothers. Possible names for their corporation-- MagicBeGone Inc (doubles as a cleaning service), Two Dummies And A Cuff (instead of Two Men and A Truck movers), or how bout just Wendy's (we sell hamburgers and rid the world of magic).
- Owen (Out of Town Greg) tortured Regina to find out where his father is. She says she killed him right after Owen left and buried him at the campsite. He goes there and digs up human remains. I know Regina is evil and all that but I refuse to believe she just killed Owen's father. I know... I am in deep denial.
- Regina, a word of advice. When you're being tortured, the goal is to try NOT to piss off your captors any more than necessary. I think you had it the other way around.
- Everyone finally finds out what Tamara and Owen are really up to. Emma said Tamara couldn't be trusted all along. She and Neal go to the cannery to rescue Regina. Tamara knocks Emma unconscious, shots Neal and then opens a portal with a magic bean. Both Emma and Neal almost fall in. Emma has hold of Neal but he says Henry can't lose both his parents. "Don't make him grow up like we did." (Neal) "Then don't let go. I need you. I love you." (Emma) "I love you too." (Neal) And then he's gone. That guy doesn't have the best of luck does he? Have no fear. I'm sure Neal is still alive somewhere-- maybe in Neverland.
- Snow and Charming take an unconscious Regina back to Emma's. The Blue Fairy says her magic will return "once the cuff was removed". I thought they said in the last episode that the cuff couldn't be removed. Remember Owen's speech about "inside are the toughest metals and machinery known to man and right now they're counteracting every magical bone in your body"? OK, well forget you heard that.
- When Regina awakens and sees Snow, she questions why Snow saved her. Snow says "'you're family" (which basically means we can treat each other like shit but won't let anyone else do it). Now they will all work together to save Storeybrooke and go back to hating each other after that.
- In unrelated news LaceyBelle has the hots for the evil Gold. With Neal gone and Lacey around, he has no reason to try to be a decent guy. Henry better sleep with one eye open.
Grade: 4 Monsters (out of 5). I'm only giving this episode a 4 because of Regina / Evil Queen. Even unconscious she's a better actor than everyone else. Also the Disney commercial with Lana Parilla was great fun.
