There doesn't seem to be enough to blog about with single episodes so I've moved to recapping the show every two weeks. See episodes overviews from the NatGeo website below.
Episode 7 "No One Will Ever Know"
In Texas, Kenny and his wife Connie are preparing for a civil war. With defense as their ultimate concern, they're building a fortified bulletproof rooftop command center. In Maryland, Kevin is prepping for an EMP attack. Kevin is very protective of his close-knit family, including his three pregnant daughters. Their survival plan relies on a customized 15-ton bunker buried 20 feet underground and stocked with baby supplies and doomsday essentials.
I hate to tell ya Kenny but ya look like a sitting duck in that command post. All someone has to do is burn down your house. And we know what Kevin's family has been busy doing and it's not prepping :) I enjoy enjoy seeing information on underground bunkers though. I really think that's the way to go if at al possible.
Episode 8 "No Strangers To Strangers"
Outside of Fort Worth, Texas, Vietnam veteran Richard Huggins is preparing for a nuclear strike by a terrorist state a concern he believes is amplified by his proximity to the defense production hub of Dallas-Fort Worth. Meanwhile, in rural Colorado, Dr. Dave, his wife, Dee, and their young daughter are prepping for a possible solar flare that could lead to widespread illness and death due to lack of medical care.
Extra points for Richard's mustache. Richard also has a Browning machine gun and built a pillbox. I want to hide with him when the SHTF. And Dr Dave has pot so what's not to like about him. It looks like he has a cool greenhouse setup too.
Also if you haven't checked out the web series "Selling Durvuval" below is the info. Each episode is under 5 minutes long::http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/channel/doomsday-preppers/selling-survival/
