Since Mass ate the Origin Seed he's more of an insufferable jerk than before (which is saying something). He snaps Rainer's neck right after Rainer says "tell Tamsin my soul is ready". Rainer has the gift of foresight ya know. It apparently doesn't work that well or he could have gotten away. I'm not a big Rainer fan but after the extensive setup this season, that was SUPER QUICK. Anyway, Team Doccubus all the way!
The portal to Hel is open and all the Revenants are pouring out. Dyson has pledged his loyalty to Bo so he will fight with her even if she is the Dark Queen (because he loves her). Meanwhile Tam Tam and Kenzi find a telling passage on in Rosette's book. "The daughter's heart will close the portal". Kenzi rips out the page. Uh oh, something's up. Trick tells Bo her mommy was Light Fae (Aofie) and her daddy was Dark Fae so she's a hybrid. Ok then. I wouldn't think she was the only hybrid ever conceived?
Bo goes to rescue Lauren who has been kidnapped by Mass. He's just a mess. He tries some Siren moves on Bo. She tricks him into sucking the chi out of his mommy and then stabs him with Hale's sword. He's dead and Evony is alive (I think). Anyway Lauren is saved and that's all that is important.
Meanwhile back at the portal, TeamBo is losing big time. Kenzi has decided to sacrifice herself since she has Bo's heart. She wants to be reunited in Valhalla with Hale. She trusts that Bo will find her there. Just then Bo runs in but its too late. Kenzi is dead. Tamsin runs up to her and goes full Valkryie.She wraps her wings around Kenzi and they disappear. Oh the feels! That was a very touching moment.
Next we see Bo at Kenzi's grave. Now she's really pissed. She declares one else will die on her watch. Switch over to Tamsin whom Dyson finds laying on the ground. Is it outside Valhala? Could someone PLEASE make a big sign that says "Valhala" so we'll know? How did he get there? Tamsin says Kenzi is really gone (I hope not). Remember when Leviathan told Bo they would meet again? I think that means Bo tries to free Kenzi. Also Tam Tam tells Dyson they cant let Bo find the other Hel shoe. More strangeness.
Dyson picks Tam Tam up and carries her away. How romantic. Why cant those two get together for a while? They had a hookup earlier this season. Is Lauren going to stay with the Dark forever? She says she's staying with Evony since she made her human. And what about Pappy Pyrippus? Is he ever going to show up? "Lost Girl" has been renewed for a fifth season so who knows what new craziness will ensue.
Grade: 4 Monsters (out of 5). I would have given it 5 Monsters after Kenzi's tragic death but the plot seemed all over the place this season. I still dont understand all this buildup regarding Rainer. He got an even less ceremonial send off than Hale. At least Hale got a funeral.
