Bates Motel Season 2 Episode 5-6 Recaps: No Drivers License For Norman

Norman and Cody have sexy times. Cody and Norma meet and they do NOT hit it off. Norma visits Ford on his big ass yacht. He vows to help her block the bypass project.

Dylan is run over during a gun battle and ends up in the hospital. Zane's sister comes to visit him. She is his boss. Romero is staying at the Bates Motel since his house was burnt down. Lee Berman (the city council head) is dead.

Emma has sexy times with Cupcake Boy. The best scene of the episode was the one in which Emma asks Norma about sex. I've said it before but Vera Farminga is one hell of an actress. It is a pleasure to watch her.

Zane's sister takes Dylan home. I was hope she would go all "Misery" on his ass but instead they end up having sex. Norma goes to the yacht club to see Nick Ford. Norma seems to be playing Nick. That is a very dangerous game. Christine encourages Norma to run for city counsel. What is the that woman really up to?

Norman and Cody have to hide in a closet when her father comes home. This triggers more blackouts for Norman. Romero tells Norma that he can see through her curtains at night. I think we need to seriously revisits what she does the next night.

Emma, Cupcake, Cody and Norma go to the swimming hole. Code encourages Emma to swing out over the water. She almost drowns which makes Norma go BALLISTIC. It's interesting that he's so protective of her given he often blows her off and doesnt trust her.

Norman takes a driving test but if sabotaged by his mother. She tells the examiner that he has had blackouts. If my mother had kept me from getting my license when I was 16 I'd want t kill her too.

Cody's daddy is dead (I think). Norman tried protect Cody when he had her in a headlock and accidentally knocked him down the stairs. Oh dear, another dead body to dispose of.

Grade: 3 1/2 Monsters (out of 5). Dead Daddy at the bottom of the stairs is the biggest shocker in these episodes. Is this the end of Cody and Norman's relationship? Yes Cody was upset with him at times but I dont think she wanted him dead.
