"Su-zakana" opens with Will, Jack and Hannibal are having a quiet dinner. They are eating the trout Will caught. Will says "it was my turn to provide the meat" (insinuating that Hannibal served human flesh). Will admits to the previous murder attempt on Hannibal. This seems far fetched to me. First Will goes back into therapy with Hannibal and now they are all having a lovely meal together? As much as I love this show, I think that crossed the line into "unbelievable". However in the writers' defense, Will did insinuate to Jack while ice fishing that he was using himself as a lure for Lecter. Here fishy, fishy, fishy. See this nice shiny lure? You know you want to chomp on it...
Next we visit a barn where a horse is dead but something is still inside her (possibly a twin foal). When she is cut open, it is definitely NOT a foal. It's a dead woman. The woman is taken back to the morgue for examination. Brian and Jimmy hear a noise inside her chest. They open her up and it's a bird (a starling to be exact). When Hannibal visits the crime scene he says "This is every much about giving life as it is taking it." OK, whatever you say. This is some crazy shit though.
Hannibal and Alan have sexy times. I cringe every time I see Alana with him. Alana does reflect the viewers sentiments (or at least mine) when she says "The only thing stranger than finding a women inside a horse is seeing Will back in therapy with you". Exactly my thoughts!
In story line C Margo is in therapy with Hannibal. She tried to kill her brother. Margo and Mason were apparently in the original books but I must confess I dont remember them. It has been a long time. Anyway Hannibal advises her to kill her martini drinking brother when she can get away with it (or have someone else do it). I'm interested to see where this goes.
Back to the horse murders. It turns out that the deceased Sarah was one of 15 women total who were murdered. Will visits a possible suspect. Peter Bernardone has brain damage (he was kicked by a horse). We dont believe it's him but he knows the murder. Peter's social worker is the culprit. When Hannibal and Will arrive back at the stables we see Peter next to a dead horse. Craig Ingram is apparently inside. Did Peter really kill Craig? Nope he just sewed him in there. Will shares a kinship with Peter and calls him a "friend".. They are both mentally damaged collectors of animals. After Craig crawls his way out of the horse's innards, Hannibal and Will confront him. Will wants to shoot Craig but Hannibal stops him at the last minute.
And I know there is a lot of fan fiction dedicated to this, but is a bromance between Hannibal and Will becoming canon? I am certain that I would NOT let Hannibal get this close to me. He may just be checking to see how tender the meat for his next meal is though.
Uh you definitely are violating my personal space.

Grade: 4 Monsters (out of 5). I had a hard time believing some of the scenes but the craziness keeps me coming back. I'm not sure how much longer the writers can keep up the Hannibal/Will relationship before it's not enjoyable to watch. It's a very fine line.
