Bates Motel Episode 7 Recap: The Man In Number 9

When we last left "Bates Motel" Deputy Shelby was lying dead on the front steps of the Bates estate. Romero (the eye liner wearing Sheriff) comes up with a story about the death of Shelby that both gives him credit for being SuperCop and gets Norma/Dylan/Norman off the hook. Everyone seems happy except for Dylan. Did you want a gold metal for shooting him? You're alive. That should be reward enough.

A strange man (Mr. Abernathy) arrives and says he has a standing reservation at the hotel every two months for a week. He is in "sales". I think he's a sex slave trafficker that brings in new merchandise every two months..

Other highlights:

So is Jaio dead or what? All I heard was that she was shot in the woods? Does anyone but me care?
Norman sees Bradley but she ignores him. Did I say those popular girls should not be trusted? Yes, I most certainly did.
Have ya ever noticed that Norma spends a lot of town cleaning up blood? They seriously need to hire a maid.
Emma comes by to see Norman but he gives her the brushoff. Bad, Norman. Very bad. You know how that feels but yet you do the same thing to Emma? Emma and Norma spy on Bradley in her yoga class. She describes Bradley as "a locomotive of sexual energy". Norma is none too happy about this. Somebody's gonna get killed.
That sex talk between Norma and Norman was uncomfortable. What was all that about a woman's body changes during sex and releases chemicals and her mind and something something?
And seriously the most upsetting thing I've seen on this show thus far is the dog being run over. Why "Bates Motel" did ya do that? Why not kill a person instead? Im not forgiving you for this.
Only 3 episodes to go till the end of the season.

Grade: 3 1/2 Monsters (out of 5). Not a bad episode at all but more of a slower paced filler after last week's crazy episode (which I gave 5 Monsters).
