For some reason Revolution has never captured my interest like other scifi shows. I keep trying to watch it but then I get distracted by vacuuming, laundry, well lets face it, anything. I only watch it for Elizabeth Mitchell (and I would watch her read the phone book). If she's really not coming back as she told Charlie (and leaves the show) I'm outta here.In episode 13 we finally find out what caused the power outage. It was... wait for it, wait for it... tiny computers (nanites) the size of viruses that per Rachel only have two commands "absorb electricity and replicate." Apparently they replicated like bunnies and you see what happened. Uh ok. If the nanobots ate all the electricity shouldn't they have all died?
In other related news:
- Monroe has a nuke and plans to blow up the Georgia Federation. Team Miles successfully deactivates it.
- Rachel runs into yet another old friend/ colleague-- Jane. Rachel knows lots of scientist types. She wants Jane to help turn the power back on. Jane says she won't because doing so would kill Beth (who is in remission from stage 4 cancer). Beth is being kept alive by the same device that Rachel pulled out of Danny after he was killed. Anyway that's a terrible decision to make. If I was Jane I wouldn't help Rachel either. But she does after Beth tells her too.
- We meet President Foster who is the head of the Georgia Federation. Not sure if she can be trusted but she and Miles go way back.
- In Georgia they have steam engine cars and are trading with Europe. Quick everyone move there!
- We continue to learn that both Rachel and Miles have lots of skeletons in their closets from past transgressions.

Rachel and Charlie begin slowly patching their relationship only to be pulled apart again as Rachel suddenly embarks on a quest to restore the power and her self-respect. She must make a dangerous journey to the mysterious Tower as it holds her only chance at redemption.
Episode 14 "The Night The Lights Went Out in Georgia"
Paranoia strikes Monroe deeply as Neville disappears and Neville’s son Jason makes a big decision. Meanwhile, the familial bond between Miles and Charlie grows stronger. Elsewhere, Miles experiences romantic attraction with both Rachel and Nora. And Rachel sets off on her dangerous quest to infiltrate the Tower and restore power to the world before Monroe can ignite a nuclear device.
Grade: 3 Monsters (out of 5). This show for some reason doesn't hold my attention as much as others but at least we finally found out what caused the power outage.
