As "Dexter" draws to a close with two episodes left, I think they're trying to bore us to death. I love you Dexter but I'm just not feeling it. The Brain Surgeon is a real snoozer. If I fall asleep during a show, that's a bad sign. I woke myself up snoring during this one.
Oh the good ole days when Trinity was around. The Thanksgiving episode was the best in the series IMHO. And I still haven't gotten over him killing Rita. Now that's a serial killer worthy of Dexter. The Brain Surgeon is just a guy will a melon scooper. But enough of my ranting. Here's what happened in "Goodbye Miami":
- Deb rejoins the Miami Police Department. Is it too late to have Elway be a serial killer? I still think that guy's up to something.
- Jaimie gets into a PT program in Atlanta. Quinn says go for it. That way he doesn't have to dump her. Quinn and Deb knock boots again.
- Dexter tells Deb he's going to Argentina with Hannah and Harrison. Uh you'd think he'd have some idea why she might be upset about such news.
- Dexter also tells Batista that he's leaving. Oh well, lose a Morgan, gain a Morgan.
- Masuka's daughter is smoking pot. No one cares.
- Daniel/Oliver is jealous because mommy (Dr Vogel) gave Dexter "the code" (and because she loves him best). So he does what any good son would, he slits her throat in front of Dexter while yelling "she chose the wrong son". Quite a flair for the dramatic, that one. Is Dexter traumatized by this? He also saw his real mommy killed when he was very young. Is Vogel's death really a surprise to anyone? I still think she should have been the Brain Surgeon instead of him.
- I believe Harrison is going to be in the spinoff (since this is the most anyone has ever acknowledged him during the history of the show).
